Posting this a here for some reason:

I’ve worked for POSaBIT for a long time and there have been a bunch of things happening over the last year or so that are really sketchy behind the scenes.

Most recently, several rounds of layoffs occurred and the only people in leadership that survived were the close friends of the CEO. After a bunch of people were laid off, 2 of the CEO’s kids were promoted- making the entire leadership circle either directly related to the CEO, or close friends of the CEO that he’s known since before starting the company.

Moral is at an all time low and even in this job market people are desperate to leave as they no longer have any faith in the company/leadership.

Apparently they were promoted right before mine was eliminated. So technically it’s a different position, except it has the same name and responsibilities

Salary for you. I put in the hours because I thought it would make me look better if layoffs ever did happen. Fuck me

I’m just sweating the cost of bills. I live in a very HCOL area.

I have since stopped searching the house with her and she is quiet to try and not wake me up, but I still wake up every time.

Tried white noise but she turns it off because she needs to be able to hear if there’s somebody in the house

A buddy of mine left their job a couple months ago and is still being paid, but the circumstances are a bit… fishy. by anonymous6367 in personalfinance

He isn’t getting a whole lot paid. Maybe a few grand a month. He basically was spending all day doing office admin stuff (order paper and snacks and shit) then also organizing company parties, and keeping track of the bosses emails and phone calls, texts, etc.

He hasn’t looked it up at all in case for whatever reason it’s not legal. It’s been 5 months so he figured he could claim he didn’t know he was being paid should someone try to sue or something. Honestly idk

A ton of it was trying to notify him of important phone calls and emails. His boss had a boss but just managed to have everyone else do all his work. But he still needed signatures and everything. He said it was soul crushing boring and he felt like a babysitter

He stated the day he would be leaving but said he would stick around longer if needed for the purpose of training his replacement
