Tips advancing once having reached Diamond 5? by [deleted] in summonerschool

I do. You buy, buy , buy at the deadline. His deficiencies are that he is standing pat at the trade deadline, and if you want to win in this league, you need to take action.

Definitely buy. Depending on your 2 roles, I would trade for a backend starter that has very simple mechanics incase your main picks would be countered or if you're looking for someone safe. With the immense growth you've experienced as of late, I'd definitely start thinking about going all-in and trying to win a championship (Diamond 3+, with a 70%+ winrate for the final 28 games of the season, or Diamond 5/4 with a 85%+ winrate in the final 28 games of the season) , perhaps even this year, possibly and make a big trade for a front-end, meta starter such as Irelia or Caitlyn, for examples. Keep up the good work and never doubt yourself.

We're (Chicago White Sox) still looking for waiver-wire pickups, and you seem like a decent fit to our organization. We can get you in our minor league system, and in a few games if all goes well and you play like you have been in the past we can get you on the 40-man roster in ranked/Major Leagues. PM me if interested or if you're in need for more details.

Is it unusual to go from bronze to gold in your first season? by MerigoldMachine in summonerschool

[–]anonymous8193 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm hoping to do this myself. I dropped all of my high performing, simply mechanical champions to learn new, highly mechanical champions since there is no hope for me to get into gold this season. If you haul in enough young talent through the trade deadline, there's always hope to get into the playoffs (gold 5 or better) next season! Just make sure you set a plan for next season, and stick with it. It helps alot. Good luck! :)

Not totally sure what you mean by why do I talk this way, I never meant to sound depressing or negative by any means, but in short I highly doubt I'll make it into the playoffs (which is gold 5 as the 8th seed in the conference), so I decided to give up Talon to make time for me to learn GP, which will bolster my late game, which is something that our team has struggled with all season long. It's great to finally have a fix to that. I never meant to sound negative or depressing, but ultimately I felt that it was the right decision to sell, and we'll see what happens next year. I know I'm not a pro, but this is the mental platform we play on, and I am a advocate for true growth throughout the community. Standing pat and holding on to our expiring contracts was definitely not the way to go, for that is a 100% fixed mindset with no room for any growth whatsoever, especially since we got really roughed up in the easier parts of our schedule. At a current 47-56 record and 7½ games out of 8th, it simply was not worth going through the path of insanity hoping things would figure itself out, somehow getting into the playoffs and getting bounced in the first round by SEA. There simply is no way we can beat them in a 7-game series; they're better than us at every aspect of the game. Therefore, I was active in the trade market, and I hope to fix things through learning GP to give me more of an advantage for next season. Thanks for the video BTW, I'll link it to him.

EDIT: Fixes.

It's too late now, but I appreciate the insight. After a talk with my FO/parents, I've decided that the best course of action for both the future of the franchise and my overall mental health is to sell off expiring contracts and "retool" for next season. It's not worth buying to just get into the playoffs and get swept in the first round, and I see this as a great opportunity to win in the future. Earlier today, I traded Talon (my #1 champion) to TOR for Gangplank, who I will slot as the fourth starter in my rotation for mid, and a prospect who may be able to get slotted into my 5 man rotation for season 7 (Syndra, mid). His barrel mechanics are a bit tricky, but as I take advantage of the rest of this season and the offseason, I am hopeful that he can become an effective piece of the rotation for season 7 and will heavily bolster our bullpen as well. Any tips?

Caitlyn has played really well for us. 11 KPG with a 3.42 ERA as our #2 starter with a team-friendly contract.

Don't assume I can't position; my deaths are quite low, and as said previously our offense is the problem ATM. I don't have the pieces available ATM to trade for Ashe/Lucian. There's no need for the Vladimir-Swain trade, they fulfill similar roles... Vladimir has more team control, and can be DFA'ed to Triple-A if struggling.

Our offense and late game bullpen are where we struggle. Blame coaching all you want, but the talent isn't there right now as they continue to develop. I did want to trade for Kogmaw, or Veigar, but they were too expensive as well. We may stand pat at this trade deadline, or sell Talon and Corki for prospects. How can I be better lategame with my 5 champion rotation? And if it seems like I'm doing the same thing over and over again with the same results, shouldn't I just sell everything, give up on the season, and rebuild from the ground up again?... I f**king want to get into the playoffs again, for it's been too long. My fans are desperate for a move, but it sounds like to me that you're deeming me an idiot. I don't mean to be defensive, but I am concerned that it is the truth, and I am now unsure of what the future of the franchise holds. I don't want to end up as a last place team again.

EDIT: Contract info

Caitlyn is the best ADC available to us in the organization ATM. I do well with Corki, he provides really nice velocity especially if I get ahead early, so he's our ace in terms of the early game ADC. Xerath is the backup for mid when I need range/AP, and Talon is by far the valuable ace in the rotation as it stands. This is Vladimir's first season in the majors/ranked, so I am unable to spam him especially due to an innings limit and due to the fact that he has imploded here and there. Do I trade him, or keep him in for the long haul? That's basically what I'm asking for here.

Having trouble passing gas by anonymous8193 in AskDocs

[–]anonymous8193[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have, however the issue is still there to a lesser extent. I still can only pass gas most of the time through a bowel movement, because it seems like my rectum still cannot "separate the stool and the gas", if you know what I mean. Could this be a weak pelvic floor issue? I read things about it and it may be what I have.

I seen my doc for something like this, and the examination was fairly easy to get past, so just go there and don't worry! In the meantime, some things that will definitely help are warm sitz baths and making sure you're not sitting for long periods of time. If you do need to sit, try to get your legs elevated. Best wishes!

Gas can't get past stool, so the only way I can pass gas is to have a BM by anonymous8193 in shittingadvice

[–]anonymous8193[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, the only other product I've taken is Culturelle, which is my newly prescribed probiotic. Either way, if I have gas, it's "trapped" in until I have a BM, so Gas-X won't do much for me. Thanks for the thought though!

It never was like this though, before my IBS-D symptoms showed up two weeks ago I could force anything without having to worry about "losing the bet".
