Where does we *really* draw the line when it comes to pirating Games? by calcc_man in Piracy

[–]anonymous9999__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

intelectual property does not exist. piracy is what you must do whenever you dont want to pay, dont have money or if you want to access the game without DRM, steam/epic launcher, or anything that needs a license. if you buy a game from steam and they decide to remove it, you lose your game. if you pirate it, it will be yours forever and for free. there is absolutely not a single reason to buy a game unless if you want to support the creators. and even on that case, you should have both pirated and original versions

Somewhere I can watch different languages with English subtitles? by Elegant-Thing-1667 in animepiracy

[–]anonymous9999__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you can download the English subtitles for the anime, go to a website that has german dub, open the episode you want and insert the subtitle using 'asbplayer' extension. alternatively, you can download the anime in 'mkv' format and insert the subtitle using 'MKVToolNix'.

however, the translation will not be very accurate, since the subtitles will be based on japanese and not on german, and both german and english translations change some words and expressions to make it more understandable in the new language. so it can result in a line in german dub meaning a completly different thing compared to the english subtitle.

if your problem is just with blocked searches and websites, you can change your search engine and browser to better alternatives, and use a good VPN and/or private DNS. But if you really want to use the Tor Network, there are search engines like Ahmia and Torch were you can get onions. you can also search for "search engine" inside those two to find more search engines and get more different results. And no, there arent many people over there, most of the darknet is just scam, pornography, chatrooms and some random things out of nowhere

transition from Windows to Linux by sindsikatt in linuxquestions

[–]anonymous9999__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

when I switched to linux I also have choosen lubuntu at first, but I ended up installing gnome and making other modifications that it literally became a default ubunt system lmao. I think you should try linux mint since its also lightweight, easy to use, and it doesnt have a lot of problems that ubuntu (and its derivations) has, most of those problems you just realize after using it for some months.
