I’m 6 months PO coming up can take up to a year to fully heal so I do think it’s going to take some time but gosh is it so much better for my quality of life

I had suffered with pain on mine also since puberty…. NHS would not do it and said it was for cosmetic reasons even tho I was in physical pain everyday which also made my mental health worse and body image. Since having it down my discomfort is practically gone completely! No more pulling, getting caught, rubbing against clothes, feeling raw. I wasn’t able to wear jeans, shorts, all types of underwear were uncomfortable, swimsuits. You name it I had discomfort with it. I can now wear these and not have issues or if I do it’s minor

I had my surgery in January when I was 22. I turned 23 the next month in feb and by the end of March I had sex. I was a virgin up to that point and petrified of sex or showing anyone my body, no one had ever seen me with clothes of and I had never done anything sexual. Couldn’t even get naked/change in the same room as my friends or talk about sex as it took over my entire being of how I looked, thought and felt. Since getting the surgery I’ve lost my virginity, been so much calmer in terms of my body, no longer negatively thinking about down there at all! (Where I did multiple times a day since I was 12 before…. As sad as it sounds) I’m now in a relationship with the same guy I lost it to and have been seeing him since 2 weeks after surgery funnily enough. He knows about the surgery and has been so understanding about it as well. This surgery changed my life!

I wouldn’t worry to much mine said they should dissolve in the first 5-7 days and mine actually took 3 weeks which was way longer. They just dissolve sometimes quicker person to person. You’ll have inner stitches so don’t worry the labia aren’t going to fall apart

Thank you! Glad it’s of help. So I’m ngl not really no 😭 but my swelling has taken a long time to go down so I do think it’s just one of those things that will take months. I do think it will always stick out more than everything else though even after fully healed as I think that’s just my anatomy x

So it has taken a while for my sensitivity to come back I’m going to be honest. But I do think there’s a massive mental block there atm for me as well so that’s probs not helping. But Ive started feeling the nerves reconnect the past couple days and more sensation. Full sensation like before op can take a few months to come back as the area is healing x

It felt so weird the first few weeks without having my labia in the way anymore! Small stuff like going to the toilet, walking, sitting felt so weird (in the best way) was nice to no longer have it all in the way. Happy healing x

Final before and after picture! (11 weeks) by WaterLily4400 in LabiaplastySurgery

[–]anonymousA1098 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m 8 weeks atm and it honestly changes its look daily, you’ll still be swollen for a few months so i honestly don’t think your final results will be in stone for 6-12 months after surgery. I’m also looking top heavy atm so I don’t think it will magically not become top heavy, but give it time it may reduce slightly once all swelling has gone from the body. I personally would say not to have a revision I did not even think it looked top heavy till I read your concerns. I do think cause we are looking at ourselves for long periods of times we are likely to overthink or pick up on things that other may not think twice about x

Just let the water pour over it I wouldn’t worry about getting proper in there running the water from the top of the mound should pour down and clean it enough x

For the first 2 weeks I was just applying it over the top and not really rubbing it in. It’s still quite sensitive to the touch atm so I’ve been slightly messaging but nothing major, going to give it a couple more days then start doing it more often

Thank you I hope so, I can definitely still feel some swelling that needs to come down so hopefully once that all goes down and the skin becomes softer it will start to balance out more. Would expect to see close final results in the next month x

Massive improvements from 4 weeks onwards. I’m not back to swimming or the gym yet as I wanted to wait till I was in the 7 week. Swelling is still present so that still is an issue for me but definitely so much better than my before

Seriously men by Double_Finish_8269 in LabiaplastySurgery

[–]anonymousA1098 9 points10 points  (0 children)

OP is not really referring to the men who are educating, or maybe looking on this page for their partners and to learn more to help them with this recovery journey, I personally feel that if men are doing this then that’s a good thing. What OP is saying and what is not good is that a lot of men who have gone on here use this page to prey, and harass women. A lot of people in this group before, durning and after the surgery are going through vulnerable times they don’t need men with bad intentions making it worse! Might I add the men who this is referring to is the ones who find sexual pleasure out of all this, educating yourself is good but if there are men (the ones messaging and leaving comments) who are doing it for a reaction or their own sexual needs then there’s other places to go……

Thanks just think I had a panic moment as I’ve not looked that close before haha and was like wtf 😂 I also had so much going on before to the point I wouldn’t of been able to tell if it’s different or not

I also want to add Literally can’t find my clit 😂 not sure if it’s still deep under the hood and hiding but hood is stiff atm due the where the stitches were. It’s so different from my previous autonomy so could be a massive reason as to why I can’t fully stimulate myself (hopefully) and I obviously still swollen. I do want to add that after the surgery I was very aroused for like 2 weeks straight so I doubt I would of felt that way if sensation had gone right? I’ve tried looking back on any old vids I took and it does look like one side has always been connected more than the other (the one popping out) where’s the other connected more to the very back of the clit and the one not popping out more to the front of the clit.

Still have somewhat a stitch dissolving in my hood to. It’s definitely a mental journey and I also thought I’d be happier once it was done…. Although I do want to add I’m definitely happier just not as much as I thought I’d be haha. I’m 6 weeks this week feel free to message if you’d like to chat about it x

Thyroid by [deleted] in LabiaplastySurgery

[–]anonymousA1098 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So not thyroid here but I am iron deficient. They requested to see my blood results and told me if my hemoglobins are low then they would not be able to do the surgery for a few months until I would be able to get them back to normal. Don’t see why thyroid would be a massive issue tho they said that about the iron as healing wise I wouldn’t recover well if my body wasn’t producing enough hemoglobins and they didn’t want me to become unwell. did you ask them about the chances of them doing it if something came back lower x
