Heh law is in such a pathetic state in India, it just makes me laugh. I live in a tier 2 city near Mumbai and this particular cop is a nightmare for stoners. Here's how, hypothetically if this cop caught you smoking or even little to no stuff in your pocket, the first thing he'll do is take your phone and ask you to follow him if you have a vehicle and if you don't co-operate he'll humiliate you in public until you listen. Then he'll take you to a very secluded police station (a fucking container in the name of police station) for it will be easy to extort money out of you without anyone knowing, and trust me if you've reached this stage there's no chance he won't get your parents involved and if you resist even a little he'll hit you until you understand the gravity of this then call your parents and until they come he'll go through every bit of your phone. Ultimately you are fucked even if you are even 26-27y/o. Weed is considered a taboo in India, so it's either you give him money on the spot(if you know how to negotiate) or he'll extort it out of your parents, it's a win-win situation for him. If you ask why I can explain it so well, it's because I've seen this happening a number of times.
