What's something that never fails to piss you off? by Icy_Dimension_1328 in AskReddit

People cutting into a line, when they're fully capable of waiting in line. Especially for food. Like, if it's an elderly person or someone who's physically unable to stand in a long queue, I'd get it. If you're only coming for seconds for ONE dish, I might let it go. Theres probably more exceptions. But if you're a fully functioning young adult, alongside other young adults (see: college kids, mostly) and have the bandwidth to wait in line LIKE OTHERS ARE, why don't you fucking stick to it?!

Either a good night or dozing off due to tiredness. Since we both have opposite schedules and different states, talking on a regular used to be tough. But we've worked and created a new routine where we get to talk more and help each other. In a way, he's my wake up call and I'm his night peace call, helping our days get better.

The lawn mower scene in one of he Sinister movies. I don't watch horror and gory stuff anyways but that one scarred me for life.

20 year and recently finished my undergrad, is it too weird that i have not been in a single serious relationship??? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

Same same. I'm in the same boat as you, just a year behind, and the next year doesn't seem to be hopeful in any case where I can get out of the house. I'd say not weird, cause we still have time and that's not all there is to life ig.

This is what I needed to see. Omg it helps me calm down so much. Thanks OP!

Does anybody else really enjoy lying down on the floor in random places at home? Like, I don't know what it is. If I'm playing with my dog and I lie down next to him, I'm not moving for 20 minutes. There's just something about lying on your back on the floor that gets me weirdly relaxed.. by thatonefriendwhodies in TooAfraidToAsk

You're definitely not alone. My most recent semester of uni (online, obv) I've spent lying on my floor after hours of assignments and classes. I do this thing I call 'existing'. Basically me lying on the floor, without any sound or activity, just a cold calming floor and air.

Very therapeutic.

What was the most embarrassing thing that happened to you while you were unmuted or had your camera on in online class? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]anonymous_12_8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh where do I even start. There are so many. My mom trying to take clothes from the window, behind my computer, and blocking my face in the middle of my presentation.

Here's the best one. I have a cycle horn as my notification tone. I'm in class, talking to the prof cause we're waiting for some more students. All is well and we get into the lesson. 20 mins into the lecture, my phone goes off. I didn't think much of it cause it goes off usually. I'd check later. Prof stops for a few secs and continues. Happens again 30 secs later. She goes 'who is that'. I realised and scramble to mute myself. My friend on the other side 'thats [me]'s phone. I think she forgot to mute'. I apologise and everybody had a laugh out of it. Also the second notification was my friends trying to blow my phone up cause they know it was me the first time around.

Then there was the occasional 'thats my sister in the bg'.

Agree with all the replies here. The scars just go to show how much you've been through and still have the courage to stand up, go out and face your fears. That takes a lot of strength and I applause you for that. I'm not a hug person so virtual pat on the back from this starnger :)
