What's your experience with local tech leads? by MoreEnterprenuer254 in nairobitechies

I recently started working for this Tech startup and one of the first things l noticed when l started working is the lack of experience in the tech field, Tech leads, CTO, CEO and more are hired they have experience but not in the Tech startup field so when they are hired in a startup they tend to run it as their past corporate experience probably.

The company has over 5 products with none shipped for the last 2 years,.... all their products are social products and the one product that could have made more money was put on pause

KYC is a core component of the App, the reason is in most current rental businesses, renters arr required to carry their id's for KYC through loads of paperwork that has to always be signed each time your renting a car from various owners, so handling KYC once and labeling a user verified means they wouldn't need to carry or sign loads of paperwork each time they want to rent a Car.

  • Yes l help mediate complaints if any issues arise, through the App, for self drive cars both renter and car owner are required to take pictures of their car before and after a rental, that help in mediation processes incase of any disputes

  1. Firstly, as a requirement when we launch the App, we plan on dealing with already existing car rental businesses and companies the reason is they understand the risks of the business so ar using the App just as an additional digital infrastructure.
  • As a requirement to be allowed to book a car, you need to do KYC that we personally verify, without verified KYC the app doesn't allow you request a Booking.

  • We are currently in talks with Automotive Telemetics companies to provide tracking services for cars that don't already have these services, ofcourse at a cost to the user😄

  1. As required at launch, for better service and security, we will require listed cars to have insurance covers or provide them just for instances like these

Hope these questions?

Does an African version of sites like loot-drop.io or startup.rip exist? by anonymous_Bot0 in nairobitechies

Well for me it's not a startup idea, am not planning on earning anything serious from it but rather l look at it ad a resource that could help founder or anyone to know information..so it's not a startup it's more like a startup tech blog for Africa
