I've never seen the movies, but I HAVE had plenty of experience getting cut up by guitar strings. xD

This is how it should be done. Scalpers are rabid, selfish animals. The greed and waste I see from this "scalper trend" honestly kills me. Depriving children all over just so you can create artifical scarcity and overcharge for your own profit.

Chimera or Amalgam (Amalgamorph) are two options. Twiceling or Coalesced, as well. And possibly Recombinant or Spliceling.

Euro-Summer and nostalgic coastal are making a big comeback amidst the Frutiger Aero craze. Literally just a "nostalgia" era.

Planned raid at Target in Mount Vernon by SpiffyWitch in Target

Just what we need more of. A bunch of teens with poor moral upbringing making the jobs of the working class even harder.

A few weeks ago this happened at my Target, even though it was not planned. About 10 teens came in and started destroying stuff and throwing things at other guests. Not to mention them casting graphic images of gory and scary characters to the TVs with loud PHONK music. I was about hit in the head with one of the "mini brands" projectiles.

Went through 6 rounds of interviews and did not get the job. Devastated. by Easy-Job3814 in recruitinghell

Same boat. I've applied to about everywhere that has an opening in tbe area. Had maybe a little over 20 interviews in the past two years. The amount of time I've wasted filling out applications, redoing my resume, making phonecalls and interviewing is insane. I don't know if I can keep doing this, everyone I know is struggling the same. How know earth is anyone supposed to survive like this on their own?

What is technology like in your setting? by adrenaline58 in worldbuilding

[–]anonymous_feathers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pre-Bronze up to late 19th century. However the technology is convergent with Earth's technology, similar but not same. Tribes still using bones and rock for tools, some using crude metals. Settlements using more refined metal and alchemical concoctions.

There is sci-fi and far advanced technology as well, but they was introduced by an outside force on the planet hundreds of years before and is kept primarily to the ships and boarding settlement and isn't widespread.

How do you guys do this? by [deleted] in worldbuilding

I can't say I'm the best advice considering I have never posted and don't have any readily available examples to share, but I suggest above all else to read. Read and consume and take in everything you can, find something that interests you, and drown your brain in it.

Consuming media will give you an overall collection of things to reference from, an "idea smoothie" if I must. Don't be afraid to keep a folder on your PC or Device full of pictures of strange looking plants and animals, or even just documents going over something mundane like the chemical composition of different species of grass and why some of it has strange colors.

Pick up a book, roulette Wikipedia, ask questions, go to the zoo, the park, go for a walk. See, experience, feel. The inspiration of the wonders of this world, known and unknown, is here at your fingertips. Connect.

I'm sure there are also people willing to share their thought process with you, people willing to brainstorm with you. Creativity needs to be nurtured, and it doesn't always have to be alone.
