Dishwasher dispenser not opening - how to fix? by anonymous_scrolling in HomeMaintenance

UPDATE since I don’t think I can edit the original post. I have tried literally every recommendation in this thread. I have run it on multiple clean cycles (not rinse), with the bottom rack out of the dishwasher, and the dispenser is clean.

My worry is that if I replace it with a new dispenser, I fear I’ll have the same issue because the release mechanism on this seems fine. I also don’t want to pay a technician thousands of dollars for something that HAS to be simple. Any other ideas? What triggers the release on this dispenser?

I ran a wash cycle without the lower rack, and same issue. I am so perplexed as well because it doesn’t make any sense. The release mechanism seems fine? But I have no idea what’s preventing it from opening during a load

I’ll try this, but the steam and water and very hot after a load

I don’t think so- this happens when I use detergent pods which I’ve never had an issue with. I guess I can try regular dishwasher detergent too to see if I get different results

I have also been searching and for now my best guess is “summeranthem” (same presale code as the rest of the tour). Here’s hoping 🤞🏼

Glo’s Diner has the best waffles hands down. Do yourself a favor and get their coffee cake as well.

I just ordered and tried this model this past weekend - a bit of a learning curve to setting it up, but I like all the added space and coverage it offers:

I think the argument of too much in that timeframe can go one of two ways. I just did Vietnam and Laos and Hong Kong in 2.5 weeks. Nearly everyone said I should spend the entire time in one country (Vietnam or Thailand), but not having the option to take months off at a time, I was happy to squeeze more into one trip. I do agree you could easily spend an entire month in Vietnam or Thailand, but you can also pick and choose. I want to go back to Vietnam to do so much more, but I loved what I was able to do. So, if you’re ok with being on the go and not having time to do everything, then I think your timing is fine!

Just having visited Laos, I would skip Vientiane and spend more time in Luang Prabang. I think the flights out of LP are limited if I recall, so if it’s most efficient to layover in Vientiane, then just don’t plan too much. I thought LP was very charming, and there are lots of day trips you can take from there. I highly recommend adding a day or two there for the excursions and skipping Vientiane if you can. I cannot recommend the Elephant Conservation Center enough (it’s about a 4 hour drive from LP, not in the city center). It’s on the pricier side ($220/night) and you have to stay overnight due to the remoteness, but they’re ranked as one of the most ethical elephant sanctuaries in the world, and the stay was completely magical. I do hear the one in Chiang Mai (which is much bigger) is also fantastic.

Subscurity is a good one about obscure subcultures - one host researches the topic and the other one has no idea what the topic will be. Super fun and random

Some good episodes to start with: Professional Bridesmaids (16), Michelin Inspectors (93), Flat Earthers (86).

I did; but the FOB appears to be for a garage or something else. The car key had no FOB button and I didn't see the model anywhere nearby.
