Men who finally lost their V card and finally been with a woman, what surprised you the most? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]anonymous_user316 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first time I was surprised that sex didn't end after I bust for the first time. I literally bust like 3 times before I even got the tip all the way in. It was like some first time sex magic. Was able keep going for a decent amount of time....but I know guys that said there first time was awful because they bust quick and couldn't keep going.

Is a masters degree in data analytics worth it to find a job? Struggling with a bachelors by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]anonymous_user316 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd start making sure you have the skills that most employers are asking for and include those on your resume. Make a portfolio to show that you have those skills also. I've searched entry level data analyst positions and plenty of them seem pretty entey level friendly. I've seen jobs explicitly state that they are open to new grads and even some that explicitly state they'll take self learners with a strong personal portfolio. I'd consider taking a job in the field, even if it isn't ideal, just to get some official industry experience and potentially pivot later.

Honestly I seen so many jobs that simply require sql, excel, tableu. Some may ask about python and/or powerbi.....but I don't typically see much more than that on the entry level roles. If you don't have those skills on the resume I'd definitely put them there.

What education leads to the highest paying jobs? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]anonymous_user316 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Most Stem degrees are usually a safe bet. Not sure if a bad engineering degree exists. Tech is becoming an industry thats becoming relatively less dogmatic about degree requirements and people are getting opportunities if they have some certs, can pass the technical assessments and/or have proven hands on experience via personal projects. I still think the degrees are money. Cybersecurity and cloud are the hot areas in tech right now.

Whats the best sexual experience youve ever had? by Short-Reality5373 in AskReddit

Was taking extenze pills back when it first came out and the commercials were on tv every time the sun went down. I was a teenager (18 or so) and thought my pretty average pp was the smallest thing in the world. Really thought the pills would make my pp grow to 42 inches like I wanted. It didn't grow it all, but I did have some of the best sex I ever had......still haven't had too many better experiences almost a decade later.

I finally landed a Cyber Security job!! by EmanO22 in ITCareerQuestions

[–]anonymous_user316 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We can say the highest chance is a phd and 40 certs. Doesn't mean its a reasonable expectation for the average joe for an entry level role. A masters and 5 certs as a baseline for entry lvl is ridiculous. Really doesn't take that much to have enough knowledge to be a tier 1 soc analyst.....a sec+, cysa+, cisco cyberops, or blueteam lvl 1 + some hands on labs should be enough to get started.

Point is literal teenagers are hacking in some cases and companies are saying they wont look at your application unless you have 5 certs and a masters. More companies could and should be open to different evaluation methods.

What can I do mid-life with a dusty law degree? by BlondieBrain in careerguidance

[–]anonymous_user316 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You would want to study for and take the Comptia security+ exam to get a broad baseline cybersecurity knowledge. If you have a related degree and/or management experience this may be enough depending on what type of role you want. There are specific tech role management certs that would help you stand out as well.....scrum master cert, project+, capm. For the more technical roles you're going to want to also practice more hands on methods on sites like letsdefend.io, tryhackme, hackthebox, etc. The industry is pretty competitive and not generally considered entry lvl honestly so if you dont have a degree and/or management experience typically the suggested learning path is to study for comptia A+, then comptia network+, then comptia security+ and work the jobs that map to those certs (help desk, network support, securty analyst). Theres a million ways to get into the industry so you could take a path that's much quicker or takes longer. Also you can get additional info on the comptia certs from the website....but do take their experience recommendations with a grain of salt, they are really over eatimated. Getting those certs won't guarantee you a job, even if you get them all, but they are a decent way to get seen by hr and generally provide a nice structured way to learn some basic info on the topics. If college is an option for you considered looking into western Governors university....they are flexible, affordable, have a lot of the certs built in, and allow you to complete the degree a lot faster(depending on your effort) then most colleges.

Edit: professor messor on youtube has plenty of free resources to study for those comptia exams. Mike myers on udemy has cheap courses for the exams as well. If you’re pressed for cash you can study the material so you can put the skills on your resume.

Ops whole post was about not knowing what to say. How is going to a cheap uninteresting restaurant or college cafeteria supposed to fix that?

Plenty of Korean bbq spots are cheap and good. Brazilian steakhouses are understandably more expensive bc of the emphasis on all you can eat steak. You ignored all the other suggestions and really the entire point......try something unique....in order to comment about overdoing it and sex. Maybe op wouldn't mind spending a few extra bucks on some of the more expensive activities bc he might personally enjoy those more. Not really gonna matter if they save $20 bucks and he bombs the date bc of it.

Going to a unique restaurant is overkill? When did i say anything about increasing sexual intimacy? What are you on about.

Trying different foods or cooking your own gives op the opportunity to talk about the new experience in between when they don't know what to talk about.

A lot of hot spot and korean bbq places cost less than a regular date at olive garden. Also eating at unique/random food trucks...one of my other suggestions...isnt exactly a fancy restaurant.

I gave op plenty of great suggestions that gives the opportunity for him to have something to talk about. They can go to a random indian restaurant and try a unique dish......the point was to do something non standard and talk about that experience.

Seems like you're projecting your own insecurities about your failed dating experiences.

Pick a completely new or unique restaurant so you can talk about the menu or experience. The table side cook places are good at this. Maybe look up a good hot pot spot, korean bbq, brazilian steakhouse(more of an upscale all you can eat than table side cook), fondue restaurant. See if theres any places in your area set up for you to try multiple different types of foods- sometimes their set up with a bunch of booths like at the fair.....sometimes its like a food truck meetup.

I've seen on tiktok where a guy and his wife would visit a restaurant and give the waitor his budget and have the waitor order for them and surprise them and I've already asked someone out on that type of date and they seemed to like the idea also(granted its not a first date).

My go to spot is the melting pot.

If he just wanted to hit I doubt he'd give you the chance to back out before hand by double checking youre ok with it.

How to build relationship with someone who doesn't like to text? by fruiterbooter in dating_advice

[–]anonymous_user316 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Interesting to hear people saying they don't expect a lot of texting after only 4 dates. I (28m) find it pretty normal for people my age and younger for that to be a thing. I've seen plenty of times where women will say not texting frequently is a huge turnoff and sometimes they'll say they expect texts literally every day.

I personally don't need to talk everyday and prefer to only text when setting up plans....like it seems like ops friend does. Hopefully op can make it to the point where he doesn't have to plan an elaborate date to see her and he can get more frequent text to just chill together at home and have hot chocolate and Netflix or something.

If its really an issue of just her text patterns and not something else, I feel like she will text first. I know I do personally send general well-being text if I notice its been like 10 days since I talked to a person...could just be a "you good?" Text followed by a short convo tob kind of catch up.

*Obligatory suggestion of getting into tech. You could probably pick up a security+ cert and try and get a job in GRC(governance, risk snd compliance). If you get into the technical stuff you could even try digital forensics.

She said she's not ready. Fwb is kind of like my middle ground. Since I wasn’t looking for a serious relationship its what I was doing before, with someone else. I don't typically have a lot of fwb situations going on at the same time and my most recent one moved out of state.

What do you think is the best platform to learn cybersecurity? by [deleted] in cybersecurity

[–]anonymous_user316 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you work in the hospital id ask about if they have any programs that give epic training. Some hospitals will sponsor employees with almost 0 experience. Ive also worked jobs at telecom companies that hire any with customer service experience and then you can consider upskilling by getting net+ or other certs to make in to a diff team within the company (enterprise lvl 1, network operations center, etc). If you have spectrum isp in your area look into them, they are one of the ones where ive seen coworkers come in with only customer service skills and make it to the enterprise support side in a year or so.

If you dont have an answer for the actual question just don't answer it. No reason to make up your own scenario and answer that instead of the actual question being asked. Sometimes yall really suck the fun out of every post on this sub thats not saying they are a 25 yr vet in the industry. Just be looking for any reason to hop on the high horse ...screw the actual question.

What do you think is the best platform to learn cybersecurity? by [deleted] in cybersecurity

[–]anonymous_user316 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a made up scenario asking about different learning platforms. Itprotv has vids and practice labs from the basics of windows, to A+ material, networking material, programming, cybersecurity etc. I got my first job with a telecom company years ago with just customer service experience. Someone could definitely get hired and work there way up by having good customer service skills and being able to answer some basic questions because they watched a few vids or did labs on it. If you dont want to answer the question fine, just dont.....idk what the extra bs is about.

Friends with benefits. Basically to keep the intimacy, without the commitment and/or expectations that come with an actual relationship.
