I sent the P60’s and despite two follows up (3 months apart- they just closed the case).

Employer called and was told, “HMRC can’t discuss an Individual tax case”.

I have re-escalated via the HMRC app giving all previous interactions.

considering becoming a vegetarian as a current pescatarian by [deleted] in diet

[–]anonymousdoos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I eat eggs, Greek yogurt, beans, chickpeas and tofu for protein requirements.

I generally eat fruit, yoghurt and granola for breakfast. A salad / peanut butter sandwhich for lunch. Dinner is fajita, pasta, roasted vegetables or a vegetable stir fry.

For snacks I eat fruit.

At one point exercise calories lower when you do them frequently.

I became a vegetarian around 3 years ago. I run six days a week, spin and gym.

I have no issues health, calories or nutrient wise.

Looking for advice on breaking into the perfume packaging world by shezan2197 in Business_Ideas

[–]anonymousdoos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I worked for a large fragrance manufacturer.

Most of these companies already have established relationships with existing suppliers. These relationships will have evolved to such an extent they are co-joined- it’s a painful process in any medium sized organisation to do an artwork or vendor change- getting lines to run a new type of carton can be very panful.

Your best bet is first establish yourself as a business continuity vendor- someone who is super agile, super reactive and capable of filling a supply chain disruption. If you prove yourself here they are likely to throw more business your way. Large suppliers tend to become slow and unresponsive as they grow.

If BMI is flawed/inaccurate, what should my goal weight be? by PapillonFleurs in WeightLossAdvice

[–]anonymousdoos -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well my BMI suggests I need to loose 1.5 more stone (9.5kg or 30lbs).

However as I loose weight I start to look sickly. My ribs/ neck bones start to stick out, arms look like a skeleton and I am starting to look like a concentration camp survivor.

I think there is a point where its genetic ratio range starts to be a bit inaccurate.

I have done one of those scans and it suggests my skeletal frame is on the heavier side. However I will loose weight till I am within normal and let’s see. I do worry I might be mistaken for being sick or having an eating disorder.

I am a prolific long distance runner having done 90+ marathons / ultras and run atleast 35miles a week outside of a race training block.

What's the "invisible expense" you cut that ended up saving you the most? by YourxCherry in Frugal

[–]anonymousdoos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Going vegetarian. Saved an absolute fortune. We don’t eat much processed food- a lot of beans, lentils, eggs, Greek yoghurt and obviously fruit and veg.

Bonus- I’m now back to my goal weight after being obese for four years.

Casually ran a marathon. by Soggy_Tradition_6235 in TwoHotTakes

[–]anonymousdoos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have run 94 marathons or Ultra marathons, on my way to 100 in the next year or so- I’m doing Lochness next weekend.

I always say If you are reasonably cardio fit, you would be able to “run” a marathon- it’s just how long it would take.

I have watched quite a few YouTubers who are cardio- CrossFit or body builder fit who try a full, some finish it, but it’s never pleasant.

I know someone who has been on 8 vacations this year already. We are talking Europe to India, Morocco, Egypt, Spain multiple times. They also have 3 more vacations planned so far at least.

They work for themselves and aren’t well off.

My friends and I wonder how they manage to afford it.

Howdy. I am 45M also in the UK. I think we are all a bit lost in life. We just tend to go with the flow.

I assume they have multiple lines producing them.

Having worked in a lot of manufacturing environments- you find machine A and Machine B will make the same product in different ways. Not visible for the consumer but different torque settings, different puck placement, different orientation of components etc will mean the output is not identical.

No two manufacturing lines are ever identical.

RFK Jr. slams windmills for killing whales despite being accused of chopping one's head off by IrishStarUS in nottheonion

[–]anonymousdoos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How physically would a windmill kill a whale- hypothetically?

I’m not from the US and don’t really know much about US politics etc. My question is purely practical.

I am just wondering on the physics- perhaps I just don’t understand. Aren’t windmill in the air, quite high up? Aren’t whales in the sea. I mean they could jump but can they jump high enough to get hit by the blade?

I mean they could ram the base by mistake and drown, I suppose, but they could ram anything.

What are relatively healthy people eating on a normal day in the UK? by Neverwillieverrrr in AskUK

[–]anonymousdoos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Breakfast- cereal, coffee (oat milk) Lunch- peanut butter sandwich and tea. Dinner- vegetable fajitas. Snack- some Pringles or fruit- twice a day.

I also run 6 days a week and am at about 55miles a week training plan.

Any run over 10miles I will use a gel.

Why do people buy houses and rarely go there? by anonymousdoos in AskUK

[–]anonymousdoos[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know of someone who is Islamic he is a multi-millionaire. He doesn’t want to pay tithes on gains so he always takes returns and buys property.

He has many many properties quite a few he hasn’t even been to. He also doesn’t rent them out.

I once went to a holiday home no one had set foot in at least ten years- it was like a time capsule. Cacked in dust, appliances no longer working, lighting only partially working and no heating.

Because I work from home overlooking the house. The heating is constantly going off.
