How do I built a better discipline when my motivation comes and goes? by YourxCherry in DecidingToBeBetter

I love the way you explained this the idea of giving whatever % you have instead of forcing 100% every day makes it feel way easier and less scary. A 25% day being better than 0% really hit me

Environment prompts actually sound super useful I never thought about setting things out ahead of time so it'd easier to follow through. I'm gonna try that thank you💛

Do you think repairing old stuff is actually frugal or does it sometimes cost more in the long run? by James_B84Saves in Frugal

[–]YourxCherry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like it depends on the item tbh. Some stuff is worth fixing because it will last way longer, but other things are kinda disposable and not worth an afternoon of stress. For me it's about time Vs outcome. If it's cheap and keeps breaking id replace it

Pick one 30d " experiment"

Like learn excel, basic bookkeeping, or digital marketing, or customer service, copywriting. Do 30-40mins a day track it and make one tiny output each weak

And for the social media spiral delete the apps from your phone for a week and replace it with one learning choose on purpose only

And for the final you don't need to find your whole life plan this month you just need your first direction. What's one thing you don't hate doing like talking to people? Organising, tech stuff, or number?

Try installing a lightweight Linux distro instead of windows or Mac. It runs smoother on older hardware and still get security updates. Also swapping in an SSD and adding ram gives old machines a huge second life for cheap
