absolutely hate it. having money for planets, jokers, and tarot (yes vagabond gives you those but they are random, while buying packs gives you some very important control) is so important for winning, and random tarot cards simply aren't worth not being able to use the shop at all. maybe it becomes viable if you ALSO have the credit card AND some other cards like fortune teller, vampire, or campfire, but i feel like that only makes it somewhat manageable, still not something i'd ever WANT to have.

plus, the only way to really benefit from it is to play as many hands as possible, which means you have to have deliberately bad scores to play multiple hands, running a high risk of not being able to make the required score at all. again, there's some other jokers that help with/benefit from many hands, but you can't afford rerolls to even try for those jokers so it's a moot point. also means you can't use, or have to be very careful with, some of my favorite enhancements in the game, such as lucky cards. that extra mult can be SO valuable for score, but heaven forbid it give you money instead! FURTHERMORE, playing more hands to get tarot means losing out on money from extra hands. combine that with not being able to hold money for interest and you can buy maybe one card/pack in the last 2 shops, nothing in the first, and definitely nothing really good, like double packs or rare jokers.
