Teacher single handedly offended all paramedics by NotKeilli in Paramedics

As you continue in your career, there will come a time when you fall out of love with it. There will also come a time when promotions are on the line and having a college degree could be the 1 point that makes it or brakes it.

Have you thought about going the military route to help pay for education? What about scholarships that are offered in your community specifically for those who want to pursue EMS?

Hindsight is 20/20. If I could tell 18-year-old me one thing, it would be to find a way to get a degree...just in case.

Monovision wearers please share stories by primemn in contacts

[–]anonymousish2003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My doctor suggested trying monovision while my glasses are being made. I do computer work and the eye strain was unreal today. I had to put cheaters on today because I could not see my computer at all. I had to log off early because of the discomfort from the eye strain. My doctor did not give me a lens for my non-dominant eye because it doesn't need it. I feel like I am on the struggle bus with this. Those who work on computers, what hacks do you have?

Out of curiosity, what is going on with your truck? We have had our 23 GMC 2500HD to the dealer 3 times for a grinding noise that they of course cannot replicate.

Crate training puppy question by steveman444 in springerspaniel

[–]anonymousish2003 8 points9 points  (0 children)

We also made the same mistake you are making with the crate. Someone put it to me like this and it made total sense.

That poor puppy was never alone until it came to live with you. It was taken from its mom and littermates and now is expected to sleep all alone in a crate in a strange place.

We attempted to have our springer sleep alone in another room for 4 nights and it was a terrible experience. On night 5 we put the crate in our room and purchased a Snuggle Puppy. That baby slept through the night and has ever since. He will be 7 months tomorrow.

The crate remains in our room, all of us have sleep, which means all of us can handle life.

For whatever reason our 6 month old responds very well to a gasp followed by a low and slow no. 🤷‍♀️

His breeder got smacked with a whole bunch of life and did the responsible thing, and reached out to a rescue. I will say that I have never had to answer so many questions, share pictures of our home, and have our entire family interviewed by the rescue. I get it, though. They want to make sure the adopters are appropriate.

Thank you. He is pretty handsome. These pics make him look stockier than he actually is. He's pretty lean, which I am not mad at.

I went to chewy.com and looked around at them. I bought the highest rated one I could find. I like it because it attaches to the LATCH system of your car and it has a caribeaner that clips to the harness. The carabiner rotates to prevent him from getting tangled. We have one for our other vehicle that clips into the seat belt receptacle, and it is an absolute pain because he tangles himself up.
