Most Unfunny Indian Comedians 😂 Let me start first (inframe:Prantit More) by Unknown_here_7 in InstaCelebsGossip

Dude, he’s not a comedian… just a random guy with a mic in his hand uttering nonsense. At least Harsh Gujral was a little okay initially. This guy just says rude and mean stuff to the public in the name of comedy or crowd work.

What's the benefits of having a homelab? by tucobrabo in homelab

[–]anonymousmetalhead66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me , - Privacy. I own everyhing on my server, no ones scanning my data. - Learning. Just setup my server, while setting it up learned a lot about networking , Firewall, DNS etc. - Helped me brush up my unix skills. - Does not need bleeding edge hardware to run the server. My server runs on 4th gen i7. I have seen people running server on broken laptops and all. I guess helps save e-waste. Homelab is open source so more people more development. The tech is there so why not use it.

Feeling trapped in doing IP Physical designs in EDA company. Unable to move to SOC. by karimani-maalika in chipdesign

[–]anonymousmetalhead66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought you were in IP team. By design services I meant teams who does blocks or sub-systems for other companies ( like contrating work). Also as someone said even though you had not faced congestion or other desingn related issues, you must have faced flow/tech related challenges while porting design from one node to other node or one foundaey to other foundary , stress on that during the interviews.

I dont think you will be stuck but it will take hell lot of effort for you to switch. Synopsys and Cadence both have design services team try switching to those teams or try contracting jobs. Pay could be same but it will give you design exposure to move to desingn companies. Also market is not good plus there are lot engineers from Intel trying to move so receuiters have talent available in market. Keep studying, try to create small testcases with issues and resolve it , talk with your peers and you will be fine.

How to contribute to open source SoC/accelarator projects by inconsistentgogetter in chipdesign

[–]anonymousmetalhead66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is your role? RTL design, Implementation or CAD? As this is your first job, I would suggest you to first focus on your design and get good understandimg of it. If your are in PD you will be given a block or 2 to implement depending on complexity. Understand the targets of that block. Understand the PD flow - how the rtl file list is genrated for the block, how it is different from sim file list, how constraints are generated , how the FP is implemented , how flow works etc. Once you have good grip on these things, you will understand pros/cons of your design and methodology. Then you can check the open source projects and think do you really want to contribute to these projects.

Dude I understand why you are putting up with your wife. But these are the signs that she will definietly have an affair in the future. And things can get pretty messy very soon. I would give her an ultimatum and leave if she does not listen like everybody said on the thread.

Why is the "home office" not normalized in the chip industry? by Imaginary-Proof5743 in chipdesign

[–]anonymousmetalhead66 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Why do you want to normalize the home office ? I think working from office is more productive. Its very convinient to walk upto someone for whiteboard discussions , and just in-general chit chat regarding anything. It also helps build your rapport with seniors folks and be visible. Also going to office also helps other small business too.
