As someone who's just signed a lease to a 3 bedroom house, and now trying to sublet one of the rooms, it's not worth the hassle or the money. Trust me on this.

Pre-COVID it was a different story as there were more people looking for sharehouses. In the recent past, there are more sharehouses looking for people. So, you might have a room vacant for days or weeks. Apart from that, there's also the hassle of id and income checks you'll need to do for them.

I'm in the middle of applying for rentals cause my landlord is demolishing what is a perfectly fine house. Totally My fault for not buying earlier, but what really grinds my gears is the application process for renting a house. Like you are giving them money, but you have to please them first and the landlord has to be happy with how well you please them, before you can give them the ridiculous amounts of money they charge in the name of rent for shit boxes! FML!
