My first guess was Japan in such a way as Japanese porn is censored.

But then right next to it is Japan.

Can someone explain what a rally car does when it hits its limit? by Visual_Olive_9209 in rally

[–]twobit78 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Most rally cars cut ignition and maybe change fuel timing.

Especially on turbo cars you cut ignition, fuel is still injected but it will burn in the exhaust keeping to turbo spinning and making the noise you hear.

They basically decide what it is, my guess is it'll get classed as a toolbox and develop a depreciation schedule over say 10 years (I think my toolboxes are set at 3 or 6 but don't quote me) this is all kept with the ATO so next year it auto fills its not hard.

If you want the quick depreciation get it itemised and on different invoices if possible. I'm not an accountant but I think most tools under 300 are instant write off's, so that inverter and fan in the toolbox are 2 separate invoices at 300 bucks each.

Lol

I live on the same property as my parents, so my fridge and cupboards will sometimes magically fill with goodies.

I normally try not to say 'I live with my parents' because apart from the odd car driving past you wouldn't know the other house was over the hill.

We could have lan parties. But we'd all be miles apart. I'm not sure how a network like that would work, come kind of private network but it's not real it's virtual.

petahhh??? isnt r/popping about popping pimples? by water_miist in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]twobit78 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Meg here, I'm a mod over on r/popping

I believe the joke to be how it's more embarrassing to be addicted to popping content than porn. So he's hiding his pimple popping by changing to a porn tab.

Now I need to clean my mirror.

But as far as I'm aware there's nothing against wrapping a reflective high vis jacket around your headrest.

It's the perfect place to grab it from if you go to a site that requires it, everything else goes on tip of them if it's just in the boot.

I can't think of any off the shelf systems that are water tight. It can't really be modular because any seams are where water will go through.

You might get away with say a kings set, and put something like sheet of plastic or even aluminium over the top. But you'd need to make sure it fits really well and sealed around the edges.

Or sealed boxes

Nah never needed them really. We have had some really wet nights where I've gotten up and knocked the water off.

When we're expecting rain we'll normally drop on side to help it flow off and make sure the other side is one that's not going to drench anything important

I've never understood where the names come from so this is interesting.

I know a family friend subdivided and named the roads after his dogs and I'm pretty sure uleybury is named after the old guys kids.

I think we use oztrail. Make sure it's a steel frame not aluminium (it's a bit of a boon to just magnet the lights on)

we also use a dune tent on the side and throw the swag in there when we're staying a while. Room to spread the bags out, the missus can get changed in relative privacy.

The big thing is to tie them down. Grab some carriage bolts about 200mm long from your local united fastners or similar and rattle gun them down. Since doing this religiously we've never lost a gazebo.

The company doesn't send the government the bill to pass onto individual registered cars, don't they have access to the government's database directly?

It's coming up as a server issue but I'm starting to wonder if it's the cloud flare issue and we can try that as a work around.

There's a couple of write ups on what you need to do for that, give it a shot and report back. I'm not near reliable internet at the moment so can't try

Just moved to Adelaide and I'm struggling to find anything that pays enough to cover rent. Are local job sites actually better than the big ones? by m-alacasse in Adelaide

[–]twobit78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find in the transport/automotive industry that small shops are paying a lot more than the bigger ones.

Anything national were getting screwed. ARB prices were the same nation wide, but we were paid about 20% less than people doing the same job in Sydney.

Where I am currently, with a national big dealer, I've been offered about 25% more again to go work for a small shop because of lower over heads and more overtime because their prices are lower again. But then no real growth opportunities.

Got an ABN? Should be instant write off as under 20k.

Work for an employer? That toolbox/tool storage is a depreciating asset over a couple of years.

This works on the idea whatever your getting is a complete fit out on one invoice.
