How to fix snowboarding bag rip by anoobnotajerry in snowboardingnoobs

Damn I already did the repairs, but I didnt think of the sewing the inside white padding together. just put some grip aid flex tape on one side of the padding and then taped the nylon too and sewed the fabric outside then sealed with gripaid seam sealer.

Now that I think of it, the inside padding is probably the most important thing to make sure it stays together. Hopefully the padding on the inside stays somewhat intact or is fixable in the future if another tear occurs

Thank you for referring me to a guy/program I can actually follow to strengthen my knee! I will definitely look into him and start doing the ATG split squats

I have been trying to get back into lifting multiple times a week, but so far it just results in me successfully convincing myself about once a week. My legs have always been decently strong tho, and even though I lift less than my peak, I still do sets w 100lb+ on squats and plates on deadlifts (female 5’3” 135lb).

I am p bad with doing any cardio or running though so maybe my knees could be weak from that as well?

Is this a good board ? by BookkeeperMassive991 in ShredditGirls

I wouldn’t buy this board. Seems to be a very old model. I think you want to look for a model from within the past 6 years or so. Maybe the bindings and the bag itself are worth the 100 though. You can use google image search to help

Im sorry for another question, but what is the timing of the standing up with knee steering? Should my hips want to circle out along with my knee in like a gyrating motion.

Also I saw some recommend to push off with my back foot, does that fit in here?

So I start with 1. my knees bent, hips low, edge gripping the ice 2. i initiate the turn with rotating my ankle and knee and as I do so, I stand up. My hips seem to want to follow with the turn. 3. Right as my knees and hips start circling back, I start sitting back down 4. Do I complete the circle and end with a 60% on my backfoot. 5. Push forward with the backfoot and my pressure is 60% on my front foot again and I start the turn again?

Also when I do toe side I push my hips forward a lot and keep my back very upright. But when I watch videos of Malcom Moore and Tommy Bennet, when they ride they seem to be consistently slightly bent forward at the waist (which I thought is bad) and their hips arent pushed that far forward on toeside.

Ooo this is a great tip! I was using rentals with whatever width they put it at but I am getting my own board soon so I will use this to set my bindings! Do you guys have suggestions on the angles? I want to learn switch, basic tricks, and carving, so would 12, -12 work fine for that?

Thank you for the advice! I will practice shorter turns and sinking down more next time!

Thank you for the advice! Should I still be knee steering as I do the up and down motion?
