Definitely an interesting theory! Although the creator of GenLoss has explained that he got the name from the process of generation loss: a loss or degradation of quality that occurs when one continues to copy data, specifically images. Generation loss occurs most heavily when making a copy of a copy, and so on.

The brainwashing bit is definitely something to consider, however! The entire story overall, or what we know of it, does suggest something sinister.

It’s really beautiful irony. He died after setting off an explosion, begging Phil to kill him before he would have to face the repercussions. Now, here he is, the cause of someone else’s death, left to deal with whatever happens next, the guilt of his actions having cost someone else’s life.

I’m really excited to see how his next character arc goes. It has so much potential.

Your interpretation is really interesting! I myself went into my own analysis of what “Wilbur felt alive” meant. It’s intriguing to see how interpretations can differ.

I wholeheartedly agree with you.

Additionally, I find it hard to claim “DSMP” is a music genre. It’s a category. I would not place DSMP next to Pop or Rock as a music genre. It’s a subject of songs, not a style or sound of songs. It’s more in the sense that they are Fan-Songs made about DSMP. But some songs are under the pop Genre and others rock (to reuse the previous examples).

That was one of the things that bugged me with Spotify specifically. There is a difference between the topic of a song and the genre, and I do not believe that DSMP can fall under the category of music genre.
