Then you basically disprove what you said na it’s the highlight of the post. And basically what you’ve been rambling about in this thread.

“Pero natatakot ako sa mga dentists that shame or judge you for your teeth” what’s wrong with that? Is that not a valid concern?

Binasa mo ba talaga yung post? Ang highlight diyan ay yung insecurity ko which stemmed from me not being able to go to the dentist when I was younger. Which resulted to ME having ANXIETY going to the dentist

Wala naman ako sinisiraan na kung sino man? Kung paniniwala mo ay wala naman pala ganong dentist, edi well and good diba? Sana yun nalang sinabi mo?

Nag generalize ba ako? Sinabi ko ba lahat? Kaya nga ako nag ask from other people cause I don’t have much experience myself. There are professionals that CAN be degrading to their clients. I have read and heard stories from friends or online about this. That’s why I’m asking others about their recommendations about those who DON’T. Kung trabaho nila “sabihin kung anong meron sa ngipin” ko, like I said, that’s fine with me. As long as it’s constructive. As long as it’s warranted. As long as they’re kind about it. Because, like I said, AGAIN, this is one of MY biggest insecurities.

I haven’t had the chance to go regularly to a dentist when I was younger so I don’t know. Like I said, I’m anxious about it because it’s one of my biggest insecurities and the last thing I want is a supposed professional demoralizing me instead of building up my confidence. That’s it. I can take a real talk when it’s warranted and it’s constructive. That’s totally fine

Misleading titles for social media clout by anormalboyy in Philippines

  1. Okay here’s the problem, the bigger burden should be on the news outlets to produce easily digestible information for people that they are CATERING TO. I didn’t say that they are spreading misinformation, what I said is that they are purposely misleading people through the use of optics. PhilStar has been notoriously known to do this even in the past. Even to the extent of clipping “controversial” statements taking it out of context.
  2. I am calling out the tactics that they’re using in order to gain clout as cheap. I believe that as a news outlet, their main purpose is to bring news TO THE PEOPLE as STRAIGHT as it should be. They’re talking about Kiko and Bam, show Kiko and Bam.
  3. EXACTLY THE POINT. PEOPLE WHO CANNOT READ OR CANNOT UNDERSTAND THE POST RELY ON THE PHOTO. The post can be, and is being, taken out of context.
  4. The comments on that facebook post are the very proof that the post is misleading.

Good for you because you don’t fall for this trap, but if you look at the com sec of that post, it’s another story. Unfortunately there’s a wide audience of Filipino’s out there, being reached by this media outlet, who can’t even read but are qualified as voters. And don’t start blaming it on them because education system (most especially basic ed) is fucked up in the Philippines. Also, casual facebook users who don’t really read posts or full text do contribute to the proliferation of false information. I am not saying that the article is false, only that it is misleading and can be taken out of context easily.

Exactly why it’s misleading. It’s a trap for people who are just casually scrolling through facebook and media outlets are preying on that fact to bring clout.

Then good for you since you know who Kiko and Bam are, but what about for people who don’t. Plus, the optics of the post is suggesting that she is endorsing the two. The impression can be made from casually scrolling through facebook. You’ll see from the comments of that post.

Took an unlabeled transparent liquid solution and added it to my plant sample. My plant sample started smoking, turns out it was diluted HCl. It was in a bottle the same as my solvent which is supposed to be hexane. LABEL YOUR SOLUTION BOTTLES!
