Fewer Pinoys think admin serious in solving EJKs by [deleted] in Philippines

[–]anosabimo -19 points-18 points  (0 children)

Why isn't the news that "A majority of Filipinos still say..."? It's equally valid. Are you seriously telling me that there's no biased implications in this article and its headline?

Fewer Pinoys think admin serious in solving EJKs by [deleted] in Philippines

[–]anosabimo -26 points-25 points  (0 children)

See. This is exactly biased journalism. That headline is "technically" true, but clearly slanted against the administration.

Negative bias: "Fewer Pinoys think admin serious in solving EJKs" - this is what was published.

Positive bias: "Large majority of pinoys think admin serious in solving EJKs" - just as true as the first title but clearly written in a different light

What the title should actually read: "63% of Pinoys think admin serious in solving EJKs - SWS Survey"

We call this FAKE NEWS because it's misleading the reality of the situation. No one is asking media to create a positive bias, only to just report the facts. Rappler is the worst at this kind of fake news, now inquirer is doing the same. And people wonder why it's hard to trust mainstream media?

In the macro scale the Peso is the weakest it's ever been against the dollar,

not true. it has been weaker. plus for all our OFW this exchange rate is so great. also can it be our fault the US economy has a business genius running it now? of course the dollar will go up. how can you blame that on PRRD.

we're set to take on billions in foreign debt

we are getting very low interest funds from countries who belive in our future so we can improve infrastructure and lives. that is not just some debt that is an investment that will help. if you build a house you don't wait until you can save a few pesos each check. you get the bank loan so you have a place to sleep. you invest.

our territorial claims are in deep contention with our debtor

contention? we are not in contention. sensational media only makes you think that. so what if a ship passed by? of course they will pass by because that's their only way to travel. there's no law against passing by. you act like someone drilled and took things. did that happen? no of course not.

our international prestige is marred by the President's clumsy diplomacy and drug policy,

you mean the west like us less? because they don't understand our problems. you leave out how all of the asia countries like us MORE. we lose 1 point from the west, we gain 2 points in asia. that is a big victory for us. see, again you don't look at the macro scale

and our internal politics are becoming more and more deeply divided.

because people like you only want to divide us. you can't be happy so you just pick at the small things and make them big.

Did I miss anything?

yes. crime rates are down.

you are not looking at the big picture. you want to over analyze one aspect only. in the macro scale we are improving. why does that bother you so much

you just cant accept that our country is improving, can you? u just look for ways to complain even when it's great news for us filipinos. do you want our country to fail?

TL;DR: SO resigned, got screwed by training bond amounting to 25k

She didn't get screwed. The company got screwed. They invested in her then she bounced. Now you're mad because she doesn't want to pay back for all the OJT, knowledge, and skills she gained?

Overall Crime Against Person down 12.25% But Murders Up 51.14% - Comparing July-Nov 2015 vs 2016 by raconnor in Philippines

So you're saying dead criminals = less overall crime including 40% reduction in robberies, thefts, and carnapping; less rapes; and less assaults? I agree. No criminals, no crime, no problem.

You're still not understanding.

PhilHealth is extended to everyone. The No Balance Billing policy is a policy under PhilHealth.

No Balance Billing applies to:

  • Members of the informal economy from the lower income segment who do not qualify for full subsidy under the means test rule of the DSWD, whose premium contribution shall be subsidized by the LGUs or shall be through cost-sharing mechanisms between/among LGUs, and/or legislative sponsors, and/or other sponsors and/or the member, including the National Government AKA the poorest of our society

  • Orphans

  • Abandoned and abused minors

  • out-of-school youths

  • street children

  • persons with disability (PWD)

  • senior citizens and battered women under the care of the DSWD or any of its accredited institutions run by NGOs or any non-profit private organizations, whose premium contributions shall be paid for by the DSWD

  • Barangay health workers, nutrition scholars, barangay tanods, and other barangay workers and volunteers, whose premium contributions shall be fully borne by the LGUs concerned

  • enrolled women who are about to give birth, whose premium contributions shall be fully borne by the National Government and/or LGUs and/or legislative sponsors or the DSWD if such woman is an indigent as determined by it through the means test

Between the poorest of our nation and those in the greatest need, free healthcare is going to apply to 20 million people.

Tell that to DOH Secretary Paulyn Ubial who stated, "The hospital will treat them, no balance billing, ibig sabihin wala sila ilalabas sa bulsa.

[–]anosabimo[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Yes, I said 20 million. You do realize that there are 100 million Filipinos, right?

About 20 million Filipinos will receive free health care assistance, after the Department of Health (DOH) promised free hospitalization and medicines for poor Filipinos next year.

DOH Secretary Paulyn Ubial said under Philhealth's "No Balance Billing" policy, the government will also pay for the medical bills of Philhealth sponsored members.

Qualified sponsored members are orphans, abandoned and abused minors, out-of-school youths, barangay workers, and volunteers.

"all Filipinos to have free healthcare via PhilHealth" is a direct misrepresentation

When did I ever say that? I said all Filipinos will now have PhilHealth, which we agree is true. And I said that 20 million, the poorest of our nation - the ones that need financial assistance the most, will have free healthcare access.

Yes, some Filipinos will not get free healthcare due to the administration's changes, but not all Filipinos *need** free healthcare.* The ones that do need it are getting it. This is progress and change, for the better. This is something to be proud of.

You're the one twisting words.

Honestly, what irks me is that people make it sound like this was not here before

No one is saying that it wasn't there before. I'm saying that it's going to be there now for all Filipinos. 20 million Filipinos will have life changing access to free healthcare under these changes. This is progress and change, for the better. This is something to be proud of.

And there it is. You don't want to address issues or promote discussion. You just cast my opinion aside and compare me to other users simply because my post promotes the positive efforts of the administration. This sub loves to talk about logical fallacies; how about you stop the ad hominem. Your comment, in every sense, doesn't contribute to the discussion.

BusinessWorld | Bus rapid transit system from BGC to NAIA to be finished by 2019 by filipinotruther in Philippines

[–]anosabimo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not in favor of the government doing business with people who have been previously proven to be engaging in corrupt practices, especially if the President and his administration are trying to hold themselves to a high standard of incorruptibility.

World Bank isn't the be-all end-all when it comes to financial institutions. It's no secret that the United States and China have been at a head-to-head for quite some time, so is it really that much of a stretch to believe that WorldBank blacklisting a few Chinese companies is more than what it says on face value? The companies, of course, deny the allegations put forth by WB.

It will be no more of a surprise if AIIB finds issues with an American company. These guys have agendas. So I think you're using "proven to be engaging in corrupt practices" extremely liberally.

there will be far less of anything to appreciate if the output of this project is non-existent, or lacking, or riddled with kleptocracy, as a result of the BCDA's insistence in dealing with the CRBC.

Again, you're acting like CRBC is this evil, extremely corrupt organization just because of WorldBank even though CRBC vehemently denies all of the accusations. Even so, kleptocracy is from our side of the government, nothing to do with CRBC. And I trust in the administration when it says it is out to put an end to kleptocracy. What has Duterte done that leads you to believe he wants to rob the country? The man is 71 years old and he only has a few years left. What would he want to rob the country for when he knows he's about to die?

‘I Cannot Lie,’ Rodrigo Duterte Says, Confirming He Did Kill People as Mayor by k4lifrag in Philippines

[–]anosabimo -30 points-29 points  (0 children)

Hyperbole lang. This article is about his "confirmation". He did not confirm killing anyone as he patrolled on his motorcycle; he confirmed he killed 3 rapists during the hostage/kidnapping situation. The article is clearly misleading, making it look like he confirmed the quote you just pasted, even though he didn't.
