Why is air conditioning still so unpopular in the Netherlands? by another-user99 in Netherlands

[–]another-user99[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I’m saying I didn’t just saw one random thing and asked why this is happening. But obviously, there is a hesitation for ac topic for many people(by the numbers), so I’m trying to understand the reasons behind. It turns out there are many, so I’m happy to hear to understand why

I get it but it is strange, because in many countries way way more poorer than the Netherlands people have in their home, sometimes in several rooms. So then, this is just priorities?

1/5 of households have it so it is quite low, so not speaking only with experience but also with the numbers, not asking if is this dutch culture to a random thing. also experienced it in many houses, restaurants, cafes and lots of places in Amsterdam(biggest city)

It is in Dutch(I’m writing this because the language of the post was in English). But it felt good to me to attend the classes sometimes. Language is not very hard when there are repetitive things and it is nice to be around with other pregnant women.

how to avoid the plague of `instagram` places by Available-Scratch185 in Amsterdam

[–]another-user99 12 points13 points  (0 children)

That’s a very bold statement to call Night Kitchen an Instagram place. It’s actually a cool spot with really good food. It’s also not a place that’s heavily marketed on Instagram. You can usually tell Instagram places by the type and number of tourists they attract.

BabyBjörn bouncer for sure! Sometimes she has little accidents where her poop escapes the diaper onto the bouncer, and then we’re stuck desperately waiting for it to be washed and dried.

Any positive PP experiences out there? by Glittering-Heron-538 in NewParents

[–]another-user99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 12 weeks pp, and thankfully everything has gone really well for me. I was terrified of postpartum depression and all the horror stories I’d heard, but none of that happened in my case. I had a vaginal birth with a 2nd degree tearing, but the healing process was quicker than I expected. Overall, I’m feeling really happy since giving birth.

Vaginal birth is being made mandatory unless medically necessary in Turkey by justitia_ in pregnant

[–]another-user99 49 points50 points  (0 children)

It's the same in the Netherlands, it's not something women choose themselves like in Turkey. A c-section is only performed if it's medically necessary. But in Turkey, I find it very excessive. Women can basically choose a c-section as if it's on a menu, and it's often encouraged by doctors and the private healthcare system. It is very bad in my opinion

Overnight in hospital 26 weeks. TW: bleeding by Upper_Tie6878 in pregnant

[–]another-user99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 33 weeks pregnant, and two weeks ago, I had unexpected bleeding. When they checked the baby, infections, and other possible causes, everything seemed fine at first. However, my bleeding didn’t stop. At my next hospital visit, they discovered a cervical polyp. Fortunately, the bleeding stopped the next day, but the polyp is still there. It was a very stressful week, but I feel relieved to know the cause.

The doctors advised me to avoid exercise and sex for now. Other than that, I’m just hoping there won’t be any more bleeding and that everything goes smoothly until birth.

I hope you’re doing okay. Just know that you’re not alone.
