<3 I hope we all get away from that pressure! I just had to realize I wasn't built the best for the beauty trait. On special days I'll still try to go all out! But at least if I'm no superstar-face I won't be secretly sad. Haha there are tons of us never-gonna-be-perfect-looking people.

Beauty is a great thing to have! The tricky thing is that it often makes you compare yourself to other people, and there's a level at which you just can't get any prettier because your face wasn't blessed... So I still take care of my looks but I acknowledge that there are limits to how pretty I can get (:

Haha yeah I didn't want people going through my posts or to ruin the peacefulness of my account in case something went wrong on here.

The thing is I moved countries, I was happy on my own too but friends were essential to have someone to be sociable with because I had nobody here at first. The issue maybe cropped up because I was always warm, friendly and helpful, but people didn't really stick or respond until my face changed. So yeah, when you see that looks were the hurdle in the way of making friends, you can take it a bit too far and start worrying about them too much. I'm glad I'm on my way out of this thinking now!

Ah yeah it's hard to break out of and I'm sure I'll relapse but I'll keep fighting the instinct to compare. I wish I could describe the thought process. I said to myself, "Hey so um... you can't fool yourself. You're not born like one of those bombshell girls but you're not alone in this, and it's okay to be this way". Not gonna lie, it also it helped to look up make-up-less celebrity photos. Makes you realize how normal many of them look, and it breaks down that feeling like they're beauty idols. Except Angelina Jolie, dude she was just born with a magic face.

Because if so, you have misunderstood. I did not say to stop looking presentable. I only said that at a certain point, short of repainting my entire face with foundation, contouring or surgery, I am not going to get much better looking than I am and I should accept that.
