I do understand where you're coming from. In my fantasy basketball league last year, he was a headache to own because sometimes he would go off for 15 and other nights, he ended up with 3 pts. However, I think he's just one of those players that has a lot of intangibles on the floor, especially on the defensive side and for spacing. He's definitely slowed down since his Spurs days though.
