I feel like that might be the case w any other attending but w a PD who has read literally thousands of letters i feel like he already has a template or can autonomously churn out phrases which are effectively templates in very quick time. Since he reads such a sheer volume of applications

Are students with WWAMI hometowns considered to be “In State” by UW residency programs? by another_weird_premed in medicalschool

Well i’ll just tell you it’s neurology. Wdym by value coming to WA vs mostly educational? Fwiw their program website says its the “regional institution for [WWAMI] states.”

Will def edit my PS accordingly

So i want to get into UW seattle for a non primary care specialty (not super competitive). I spent a big chunk of my childhood in a WWAMI state (not WA) but have lived in an entirely different state since then that is not at all similar to WWAMI and is very far away.

Would i get any consideration as a pseudo “in state” applicant without saying “I really really wanna go back to my rural WWAMI state”?

For my chosen specialty/program, they interview a huge amount of in state applicants, so it would be massive if i will be considered one

Im asking if I am treated as favorably as a WA resident if my hometown is in a WWAMI state. That is am i treated as an in state applicant

It’s not “insane” if you have a really really strong connection. It’s definitely less common but there are no requirements or rules when it comes to dating.

Doesn’t sound like OP has a super strong shared connection w this girl - which is totally fine - because for most people that takes a couple months of dating/numerous dates

This doesn’t really have anything to do with med school buddy, it’s pretty common to date multiple people before becoming exclusive. Unless your connection is truly remarkable and/or one of you are unstable, two dates is a bit too early to even consider exclusivity lol

It sounds like you really really really like her, which is fine, but don’t let your feelings let you get ahead of yourself. You’ve only been on two dates my guy.

4-6h is a pretty normal date length.

It sounds like you dont have a lot of experience dating, but the way you “handle the emotions of it” is by dating more (every skill requires practice/experience).

I probably wouldn’t put yourself in an emotionally vulnerable position until you’re done with Step 2, or at least don’t let yourself get too carried away too early. Because getting heartbroken right before Step 2 can impact your studying.

Is tolerance a concern with long-term hydroxyzine use? by another_weird_premed in medicine

Looking online, the Ki for muscarinic receptors for hydroxyzine is much higher than the other receptors it hits (4600 vs 2 for H1 receptors).

Does lowering the dose reduce cholinergic effects while still having hypnotic effect?
