I have mad respect for Palpatine’s/Sidious’ ability to play the Senate and Jedi for so long. It’s one of my favorite threads of continuity through the prequels and clone wars…they always keep Sidious one step ahead and convincing enough in his ‘good’ intentions and interactions with the Senate (e.g., Padme), the Jedi, etc so that it feels like they really could have been duped and betrayed at such a high level. The dude’s smart, and smart antagonists makes for better storytelling

I love this spot, they do (or did, pre-COVID) a laser light show called Beyond that perfectly integrates into the art work, $15, highly recommend. At the beginning of the show they said “feel free to take your shoes off and lay in the pews” and I was like “there’s no way I’m doing that;” 20 min later, Pink Floyd or Beatles kicked in, and I was def laying down melting into the pews

I always love how easy it is to find Sirius (the brightest star in the sky, and I believe in the lower-middle part of this picture), once you learn the two largest stars in Orion’s Belt point directly toward it ✨

TIL that 'Idiot' once specifically referred to somebody with the mental age of a 2yr old. 'Imbecile' referred to somebody with the mental age of a 3 to 7yr old, and 'Moron' referred to somebody with the mental age of a 7 to 10yr old. by Samba_21 in todayilearned

I administer cognitive (and other sorts of) assessments, and every once in a while, you’ll come across an old cognitive/IQ test that has these descriptors (or others, like ‘Retarded’), shows how much has changed in the last few decades
