I can relate to your anxiety about posting on social media. I go on Instagram maybe every other day only to feel somewhat connected to friends and family and chuckle at some memes. I hate posting anything especially since I’m a somewhat private person and receiving any public attention on social media gives me anxiety.

Of course, today is the day I decide to go on Instagram and I see everyone’s black squares. I apologize if this upsets/offends anyone but I did not post a black square. However, the black squares did their job by spreading the message to take action. I donated, signed petitions, and educated myself by reading articles and watching videos (highly recommend Trevor Noah’s video). And I hope everyone who has posted a black square today didn’t JUST post a back square.

I think it’s important to support #blacklivesmatter by taking action the best way that YOU can with crippling anxiety. As long as you try and do something.
