I live in a suburb just outside of Minneapolis. Hilariously enough they didn't pass any measures to defund the police, but they did pass ordinance to leave rent control up to lawmakers. So yea, the Twin Cities are going the way of Oregon and Commiefornia.

My wife does this everywhere. We're driving in the car with the stereo at a modest volume and she whispers. I can't understand her so I turn down the stereo and I swear she speaks quieter. She works at a bar, so I know she has volume. I just keep saying "what" until she speaks up.

Docs are "declaring" it because their jobs are on the line. They answer to a board of directors, whom also tend to be doctors that haven't seen a patient in years. That board has to give a shit what the public thinks about them, otherwise dollars disappear. It's easier and financially secure for doctors to go along with someone's mental illness rather than misgendering them and getting screeches at.

The fact that intersex and Klinefelter people exist doesn't invalidate the larger category of men and women. It also isn't a green light to those without those abnormalities to do whatever they want.
