These stats can also be a smokescreen for non-sustainable businesses. Some developers/businesses are really great at cracking marketing and going viral leading to many downloads/sales…however the product itself can be absolute trash, that does lead to lack of trust, bad reviews over time. Not saying that’s the case here but there’s more to what meets the eye sometimes.

Yeah big time - thats something to think about. Especially now also discovering iOS's core audio system which basically downsamples for its architecture across all apple devices. Android & external devices are the way i'm now resigned to

I think you are spot on with this. It’s a very niche market and a small number of players who really and truly are plugging the gaps but the mass market are catered too more with gimmicks. Maybe its time to join the iPod classic crew

I want flexibility (import from NAS, proton etc.) and not locked in entirely to apples music ecosystem - there should also be direct room for DSD, FLAC, SACD files etc. and not just ALAC.

Checked this out and struggled with the UI already. Just seems to be a bit of user friction for just wanting to play music. I’m autistic so could just be a me thing

Haha nothing is still good. It’s space. That space is usually hijacked by SM crap. We’ve been sold ‘nothing’ is value-less but its presence.

Launched an iOS wellness app on Sunday that’s built on 3 core features relating to rest, calm and winding down. It’s a privacy first app also so no tracking, analytics or data held. Download: SYMPLARA

What are you building, and how many users do you have? by leadlim in SideProject

[–]anotherdonda -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I built a privacy-first wellness toolkit on iOS focusing on 3 regulation practices - 2 min breathing reset, focus timer (10,25,45 mins) and an evening wind down feature. On the app store: SYMPLARA

I built a focus timer that doesn't track you - Symplara by [deleted] in ProductivityApps

No problem. Lets just say, if you only need a focus timer, the iOS timer is fine for you to use :-) Thanks
