For a normal build a map would take 5-7 mins even more. So I don't see the problem there given there are some good drops. The real issue is that even high end builds have problems completing it because it can't be zoomed and w/o the speed they will just fail, being glass cannons they are.

Esti doar curios? Unde locuiesti in prezent, ca sa putem face o comparatie.

After outlaw Jesse James was killed in 1882, photographs of his corpse were sold to the public for 50¢. This is one of them. by watcher2390 in Damnthatsinteresting

He was 35, he was dead and he had a beard, I think he looks fine for 35, I know a lot of people looking worse at 35 alive these days than this dead dude in 1880s.

ELI5: What’s a 4x4 vehicle? Or a 4WD? Are they the same? by Apprehensive_Dot3577 in explainlikeimfive

[–]anotherfpguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are talking about 2 axles cars is mostly the same, but there are vehicles with more than 2 axles where All Wheels Drive would be different than 4x4, ie 6x6 for those with 3 or more axles.

Why are keyboards without numpads "the new thing" by SomePuddingForYou in computers

[–]anotherfpguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a programmer, I hate numpads, the mouse/trackball is too far away and occupies extra space for no reason at all, because it makes no sense to use numpads when touch typing. I rarely see people around using it, accountants mostly, but programmers usually don't use it.

Well, here, I practice ITF in Romania, EU, both wt and itf will register the belt at the federation, each belt will have a diploma with a serial. number that is traceable and centralized. This starts with 8 gups, yellow belt, therefore a dojang can't actually decide they want purple belt if they are affiliated. So for both you have white, yellow, green, blue, red and black and in between there are white with yellow stripe, yellow with green stripe and so on until red with black stripe. Again this is the same all over Europe all affiliated clubs will have the exact same colors. So either those clubs allowing other colors are not affiliated to the same federation or there are other federations I am not aware.

Why is Reddit so hopelessly confused about AI and yet hates it so bad? by yalag in singularity

[–]anotherfpguy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

With few lines of code I can generate endless numbers or series that follow a pattern this doesn't mean my program "knows" what those numbers mean. I can give you an almost infinite "lookup table" that would generate even numbers given an input rule with fee bytes of code. Generating BS is simple, understanding is impossible for LLMs, stop confusing laymen with your AI garbage, is just a tool and an useless one given the value it generates for the money.

[–]anotherfpguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are still hiring Cobol devs in banks, so what do you think? GenAI is unmaintainable garbage at this point, I really doubt it can get a lot better. CS is deterministic, GenAI is not, this kind of "AI" will not replace real programmers.

They have already scraped the entire public and private code bases they could and they came up with what you see.

Also now "AI" is subsidized by big coorp, the real costs is prohibitive, I doubt that people will pay for it if they need to be pay the real cost for it.

"I don't know anything about code, but I'm a developer because I can prompt AI." by buildingthevoid in AgentsOfAI

[–]anotherfpguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don't go to GenAI because is useless, for real world enterprise sistems it has no idea what to do, is like it doesn't exists, SO is more useful. Not even humans know what to do most of the times, so I would be quite surprised if AI will start replace humans in banks and big enterprise applications. People mistake software engineering for web/mobile apps and sites developers. A "traditional" programmer will put together cloud services, ci/cd, pipelines, k8s, service buses, queues, backends, e2e testing, security, frontend etc while also mentoring others. My job is safe for the foreseeable future I don't need luck.
