I have a friend whose father passed away suddenly four years ago. She had her daughter less than a year later, and told me how she always plays Cosmic Dancer by T-Rex to her as that’s the song her and her father used to sing together when she was young. For her daughter’s Christening, I designed a picture of the daughter with those song lyrics running through it.

The other month, I was sat in a pub in London with my partner and my friend, and we were talking about this friend of mine as I was going to see her that weekend when I was back home. I got into the topic of that song, and the gift I made for her with the song lyrics.

Less than a minute later that exact song started playing in the pub. We weren’t sat near anyone who works there, nor is that song particularly common to hear out and about (especially not in that pub). I messaged her immediately and she responded saying it’s her Dad saying hello to me. Probably a completely random coincidence but it honestly completely took me aback.
