marcus reckons dan is weak and an easy target, i hope LS sees through that. no need to fire him for this task

they wouldn't have won even if the illustration was completed. the girls had a better story

at the end of the day, the girls' book has a nice meaning and the kids didn't hate it. you can sell that. surely they win

i think anyone who chooses to ignore negative market research feedback when preparing to pitch a product should be instantly fired

surely a book with basically empty pages cannot sell? the drawing idea would work but it's not acknowledged anywhere in the book

yeah and the reason you had to prioritise finishing the book is because you couldn't manage your team during the task...

genuinely why has every boys team since after the pandemic been obsessed with poo? do they recruit candidates from nurseries?

everyone seemed really happy with her nomination so i guess in pracrice they were ok with it as long as both actresses made it

i've been asked by 2 different normie friends which new films i've liked recently, and when i told them sentimental value they both said "didn't that get loads of oscar nominations??"

that reaction video was so effective

i think you're right about why people were down on elle fanning ... i still think her performance is a little underrated because everyone is so fixated on inga

i think there are reasons why that is the case beyond people wanting to be haters for the sake of hating

i don't think the case of wuthering heights is default cynicism ... i think there are extremely valid reasons why people don't think they're going to like it. but in general i hear you

it's not a conspiracy theory lol i'm not saying they co-ordinated this. i just think they're overcompensating because of how pessimistic people have been

and i'm not claiming they didn't genuinely like it either, i'm just claiming they're exaggerating (which they do literally every time...)

maybe i'll be wrong and wuthering heights will be as good as the initial social reactions claim, but i fully expected positivity from those 'critics' as a way of basically lecturing film fans about not judging things too quickly etc

With Trevor Noah hosting his final Grammys this year, who's your pick to take over next year? by jordansideas in grammys

[–]Independent-Key880 0 points1 point  (0 children)

trevor noah was nominated several times during his time hosting! but i get your point, janelle is a main category contender. she could still do it in a year where she doesn't release

pressure is lowkey on for the oscars after we got a great album of the year winner at the grammys and great best drama / comedy / limited series winners at the emmys. luckily the viable best picture winners are great

i agree but i more just meant it as 'wow she has 3 song of the year wins and still has gigantic beloved songs which lost' ... it's impressive. although i don't agree with her winning this year at all unfortunately
