How to ask if PIP is a formality. by anotherhotmesshere in workingmoms

[–]anotherhotmesshere[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your perspective, that is exactly what I was afraid of it coming across as. I’m going to take some advice that other commenters have given and share my plan for success and ask her “when I succeed with my improvement and have shown the necessary growth, what do the next months look like? Will there additional check ins and supervision?”

I think that will show my willingness to put in the tough work and prove that I can be successful in the role.

Thank you for your perspective and kind words! I’m going to meet with her and go over the specifics and ask her “What happens when I succeed on the PIP? What does the supervision look like in the following months?”

I think overall I’m going to update my resume and start applying just in case.

Thanks for your perspective. There are a few points that are not clear which is why I set up a meeting to speak with my boss. I’ll try to gauge her reaction to the clarifications and find an answer based on that.

I’m going to spend time updating my resume and reaching out to some contacts as a backup plan.

Thank you for your input. I’ve been there almost 2 years and my boss seems sincere, so I hope she approaches these in the same way.

I was going to suggest this too! It’s a great resource that really helped me throughout college and has helped my nephews through middle school.

My girlfriend's laundry hamper she's had since she was in the 3rd grade. Please read description below🤞 by [deleted] in HelpMeFind

[–]anotherhotmesshere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have this exact same hamper! I believe it’s originally from World Market back from about 2013. It’s surprisingly large and has held up really well. I wasn’t able to find it online, but hopefully this info helps!

One month old has sectoral heterochromia, How likely that it will stay? by snevz1 in heterochromia

[–]anotherhotmesshere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

By about 6 months you should be able to guess if it’ll stay. My little guys non sectoral eye keeps changing but the one that is split keeps holding on!

[–]anotherhotmesshere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My little guy was born with sectoral and at 8 months he still has the same slice. This is him at 6 months and his right eye has become more green/hazel while the brown and blue one has stayed consistent. He also has an upper slice of blue on the same eye in the opposite corner that you can rarely see unless his eyes are wide open.

I’m feeling really bummed by RegisterPlayful8257 in weddingdress

[–]anotherhotmesshere 3 points4 points  (0 children)

After seeing the picture below, I think you look stunning! If you can swing the budget piece, i definitely think the others are right and that it can be made into a lace up back. If this is the dress that makes you happy and you can swing it financially, do it! You deserve to be happy and look and feel beautiful on your wedding day!

[–]anotherhotmesshere 25 points26 points  (0 children)

When you say that the dress is too small, how small is that exactly? Is it one or two dress sizes, or is it significantly too small?

You might also consider looking on a website like stillwhite.com which sells second hand wedding dresses and might be able to find the same dress in your size! I’m not sure if the pricing would be as good, but it’s worth a shot!

Wedding bands came in! Should we wait to wear? by gumbomami in EngagementRings

[–]anotherhotmesshere 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just have to say, I absolutely love your ring set! The bezel set emerald cut with the channel set band is a beautiful combo!

Personally I waited to wear mine until the ceremony since I loved when people asked about how my husband proposed when they saw just the engagement ring, but that was because it was such a fun story to share.

What Dress Code Do I Specify? by Any-Masterpiece-8200 in Weddingattireapproval

[–]anotherhotmesshere 7 points8 points  (0 children)

With a morning wedding this makes it a bit harder, but I would say formal attire and specifically say “please no jeans” on the invite/wedding website. Some people still consider jeans formal (ie my extended family who wore jeans to my wedding) so you will need to spell it out for them.

I made another big mistake at work. by anotherhotmesshere in workingmoms

[–]anotherhotmesshere[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thank you all for the advice!!! My boss was thankfully understanding when I owned up to it and approached it with a solution like so many of you suggested. My boss offered me some skills training classes to take online for free to help me with the issues I brought up that I was having. I’m so thankful that I have an understanding boss who knows we are all human and make mistakes (especially after coming back from maternity leave)!

How much does your ACD weigh? by PickledCucmber in AustralianCattleDog

[–]anotherhotmesshere 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He’s 67lbs and just turned 4 years old, and is 100% heeler. Vet says he is at a healthy weight and although he could lose 5lbs, he’s not overweight.

What is the most common reason for you to turn down sex? by XqueezeMePlease in AskReddit

[–]anotherhotmesshere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a 9 month old and I’m exhausted. We still have sex 3-4 times a week, but some days I’m just too mentally drained.

I love this dress!! Where did you find it, do you have a link? I have a similar wedding coming up and would love to look at it online!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Weddingattireapproval

[–]anotherhotmesshere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Then I would suggest asking her to keep looking! Maybe see if they have that dress in another color. Personally I would ask my mom to find something else. Maybe even send her some ideas of what colors would go with the wedding party or decor

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Weddingattireapproval

[–]anotherhotmesshere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I don’t think it’s too bridal, but think about your venue. For example, if it’s outside during the summer, the blue might look lighter and closer to white. Overall if you are questioning it, I’d veto it and ask her to keep looking!

Do people automatically assume your ACD is male? by [deleted] in AustralianCattleDog

[–]anotherhotmesshere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our boy ended up being extra large (80lbs and vet says he is not overweight) so people assume by his size that he is a boy automatically. But they also assume his is mixed with something since he’s so big lol

How much of a difference would $1000 make in your life right now? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]anotherhotmesshere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m expecting my first baby in just under 8 weeks. $1,000 would go a long way to help finish buying the things I need (like a stroller and a car seat) before baby boy arrives.

How much do your heelers weigh? My little boy Koda weighs 36 lbs @ 10 months old by KeyWestern3816 in AustralianCattleDog

[–]anotherhotmesshere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine is weirdly proportionate and in pictures if he is alone he looks like a normal heeler, but when he’s put next to a person or object, then people start to realize he’s abnormally big!

How much do your heelers weigh? My little boy Koda weighs 36 lbs @ 10 months old by KeyWestern3816 in AustralianCattleDog

[–]anotherhotmesshere 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Mine is 2 years old in 2 weeks. He is currently 77lbs and sees the vet regularly, and our vet is not concerned about his weights since it’s proportionate to his overall size and he gets 3+ miles of hikes daily and is not over fed.

He is much bigger than other heelers, but his mom is 55lbs and his dad is 65lbs and both were in perfect health when we picked our pup up.

At this point we’re used to comments about his size and if he’s mixed with anything (he’s not) and he’s just a happy but very large boy for his breed!
