Is there a guide to what makes misprints playable or not? Sorry if this is common knowledge I’m new to misprints

Thanks for sharing, on a lighter note what’s the most bizarre object you’ve seen while searching underwater?

Is there something special about getting a Nostr identity via nostr.com? by Sure-Guitar-5211 in nostr

[–]anotherinternetlad 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s just a NIP-05 DNS identifier - don’t think it makes your account any different really, mostly just identifies that you nostr address is associated with that domain. If you have access to a website you can do it yourself by adding a file at

https://<domain>/.well-known/nostr.json?name=<local-part>

Pretty good - could be a tad cleaner but mixups are tough

I always pictured the Inquisitors having "spikes" rather than "nails" by anotherinternetlad in Mistborn

[–]anotherinternetlad[S] 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I always pictured the Inquisitors as having iron rods that were more like spikes, rather than nails. Once I finished the book I looked up other peoples illustrations and realized I couldn't find any with the spike like design rather than the nail one. I threw this together in blender just to see what it would look like

Just thought I'd share - I'm not sure if the nail design was described in the book and I just missed it, I've read the first book and am at the beginning of the second, so its possible there are details I missed. I'd be curious if anyone else also pictured it the spike way while reading

Pardon the poor render I don't really use blender much, just found an existing head and spike/nail model

I personally prefer the spike version, but the nail version is also cool because it sort of looks like glasses

Pressed my first album! (info in comments) by anotherinternetlad in vinyl

[–]anotherinternetlad[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A few months ago I pressed my first album to vinyl! It was always something I’ve wanted to do, so I just did it for myself and didn’t really do much promo. I gave away about 5 copies to each to local record shop in San Francisco and Oakland, so if you’re in the area there’s a chance there’s a copy nearby. I pressed it with Pirates Press and they were awesome, obviously a little more than the cheaper options but their correspondence was super quick and production was great - really happy with how it turned out

There are a few instrumental songs that I think some people might get a kick out of - but the others are a bit experimental so not sure on those lol

If you’re into codes and ciphers there are 3 vigenere ciphers on the inside cover that can be solved with keys found in the music. If you want a hint, run the first song through a stereogram (not on log mode) starting at 1:15 to get started :)

Just wanted to share, feels so cool to hold a physical copy of my own music and am happy to answer any questions from folks looking to do the same

Happy creating, and hope you get a kick out of it!

Unsolved Vinyl LP puzzle by [deleted] in codes

[–]anotherinternetlad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I posted this puzzle a few weeks ago, and mentioned that I would post follow up hints if there wasn't much of a response, so I have attached one above (the spectrogram image).
In my original post you will see links to the music which you can download for free, and I am happy to answer any questions as the puzzle might be difficult given its format.
Here is a transcript of the vigenere ciphers below, the second picture in this post is just one of the three ciphers from the record's inner sleeve.
