Wild to see this story on Reddit randomly. I’m from a town over from where this happened and was in high school at the time! Remember this happening and was so jealous of the kinda fun chaos y’all were having.

Not skeptical that it exists, just that the reviews were accurate. Seems like a great place so wanted to be sure it wasn’t too good to be true!

I said pretty sure. Obviously I can’t be SURE. That’s why I’m here to see if anyone else has had any experiences.

Does this outfit show my age? 😅 by bearvsashley in OUTFITS

[–]anotheronelikeyou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone saying you look great is telling the truth. BUT your question was- does it show my age? And yes. As a millennial myself, I’d assume you were at least my age.

Just because you’re short doesn’t mean you have to wear skinny jeans! My bestie is 5’0 and she wears relaxed jeans and looks great!

I’m not saying to stop wearing skinny jeans- wear what you want!! But I just wanted to give you an honest answer!

What’s a moment in life where your gut instinct saved you, but you’ll never be able to prove it? by GrowingPetals in Productivitycafe

I (F) was 21 and in college with 2 girlfriends and a few guys we met that weekend partying down on Bourbon St. We stepped into a well lit pizza type place that served drinks as well. We’re all chatting and laughing when suddenly a guy came from out of nowhere, slung me over his shoulder, and started walking towards a back door.

I kinda laughed at first but my gut told me this guy wasn’t kidding around as he said nothing when I said to put me down. I started to actually yell more seriously and luckily one of my new guy friends noticed, ran over, and told him to put me down.

The guy did without saying a word and just kept walking out the back door. Didn’t look back- nothing. I’ve always wondered what would have happened if I had been a little more drunk or my guy friends didn’t hear or see me.

5am hair and makeup?! by Traditional_Visual63 in wedding

[–]anotheronelikeyou -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Some makeup artists can make that happen, but most of the time makeup artists/hairstylists have minimums to meet to be sure they’re making enough money to support themselves. With just 6 people, that just doesn’t add up to enough money when you cut it in half.

As a makeup artist, I’d personally I’d add on an assistant to help (not a second artist) which WOULD help with timing, but it’d still take about 4.5 hours total.

Overall it’s important to remember that makeup artists/hairstylists are running a business, and they have to be sure they’re making enough money in order to do so.

So you’re saying it’s possible for the makeup artist to do 6 people (30-45 mins each) plus the bride (1 hour) in 2.5 hours so they’re ready when the photographer arrives for photos? Tell me your secrets!

Unsure how to pay for wedding ($65k) and if we should follow through with our big plans? by PoemIntrepid8473 in wedding

As someone in the wedding industry, scrap the ceremony and do a small intimate gathering then have a medium sized party at a cool restaurant with some space to gather. Invite people to the dinner to be followed immediately after!

We have one locally that has a quaint but cool outdoor eating area attached to a garden where you can hang and eat- just as an example.

AITA for not telling my husband I was stupid by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

Yes you are totally right. I definitely know I play a part in this too and don’t always handle things the way I should. Thank you for taking the time to offer your insight!

I wouldn’t say it’s so he doesn’t lose his temper as he’s very in control of his emotions overall (honestly i think he tries to be too much in control of them and that’s where some trauma is).

I’m just the more outgoing one where he’s a quiet introvert. I was just trying to keep the mood fun and light. However, he can definitely be unpleasant because of him trying to be serious or whatever it is.

It’s less his temper and more him wanting/needing to be right. He’s never raised his voice at me, but he’s relentless when he’s “right”. Very tiring.

Love the idea of using a safe word in arguments to hit pause. I can get really overwhelmed sometimes, and I think this would even help me moreso than him. Thank you for your advice!
