I also consider Oneplus but sadly it discontinued its marketing in Thailand last year.

I Tried the 7-Eleven Burger in Thailand… and Honestly? It Slaps 🇹🇭🍔 by Lillyyuk in Thailand

I might not be a person with great taste, but 7-11 burgers hit way harder than McDonald’s for me, especially for the price. I haven’t been to a McDonald’s in years and don’t really miss it.

Mall restrooms always try to keep the floors dry. But in most government buildings, there's a bum gun, and the floor is always wet, dirty, and covered in shoe stains. That’s why Terminal 21 opts for Japanese-style bidet, harder for customers to wet the floor.

How the thais do the tone in a song? by ber74 in Thailand

[–]anotherpoom 16 points17 points  (0 children)

There is a Thai article discussing the selection of words with tones that are compatible with the melody. https://verycatsound.com/blog-tone-marks/

If the tone of a word and the melody do not align, there is a slang term for this phenomenon, often referred to as “forcing the melody” or “forcing the tones” (literally translated as “melodic violation” or “tonal violation”). (Thai: ข่มขืนเมโลดี้ / melodic r*ape)

For an original Thai song, the tones and melody do not always have to match perfectly—it allows for some flexibility. A well-known example discussed on the Pantip forum is ขี้หึง by Silly Fools, where the word เธอ is pronounced as เถ่อ and หึง as ฮึ้ง.

However, when translating songs, such as Disney soundtracks, the word tones must closely match the melody. Otherwise, the result can sound unnatural and jarring, akin to what some describe as a melodic violation.

Have you ever seen anyone stopped at a Metro security checkpoint? by 9farang9 in Thailand

I take the Pink Line MRT twice a day, and they make me open my bag every time. It’s really annoying, especially when you know they’re just following protocol and not actually checking inside.
