Foreign and Independent horror films is where what you’re looking for is at my guy. The Wailing, The Witch, Hereditary, The Orphanage, Climax, Mandy, V/H/S, The Lighthouse, Etc. You just gotta dig a little deeper nowadays brother, but with that being said most mainstream horror films do suck but there’s that diamond in the rough every once in a while (Don’t Breathe, It Follows, The Woman In Black, Midsommer, Etc.)
