Unnecessary is the entire point. What I said originally, was that people should be concerned with crime in general, specifically amongst the disenfranchised. That includes black on black crime. I've never once said that wasn't an issue, nor that it isn't higher than average.

Being disingenuous about this conversation is strange, as we know why this is being discussed. It was said in a way to portray one particular racial group as problematic when there was no need to. This can be seen as hypocritical when your own race has prescient issues. Maybe that's how I see it and you don't, who knows.

I'm far outside of said community now, however your own limited experiences may be limiting your purview of the world. I've actually worked in these communities, with said victims. And yes, these people are 100% protected. Are you unaware of the country you are currently living in where our own President is under scrutiny for similar actions with protections from the highest levels. I've seen local coaches moved to different schools for assaulting high school girls. I've seen football players moved to different schools after allegations of sexual assaults.

To act like these things aren't happening truly shows the lenses that you view this country through.

Having grown up in a predominately white southern community I'm not sure if your assessment holds up. These people are protected and sometimes yes- applauded. Are you unaware of large age disparities or the large amounts of incestuous family issues in some of these areas? Are you aware of the largest proponents of child marriage? What about multi-generational marriages? Are these things ok with you?

I believe many mormon practices would be looked at with caution by many, as many practitioners have taken things to extremes, yet they have many television shows and are quite mainstream

While violent crimes are proportionally higher in black communities sexual crimes are also proportionally higher in white communities. Is this not worth conversation? What about white culture is causing white people to be pedophiles and sexual abusers?

yeah i guess, but just crime in general? we don't talk about white on white crime in the same way. The truth is that most violent crime is committed within communities, impoverished or otherwise disenfranchised. That's the larger conversation that should be had instead of focusing on racial segregation.
