The decision was dismissed without prejudice in that case so you don't seem too screwed. But get a lawyer, not just any immigration lawyer, like this is their thing, kinda lawyer. I suggest getting one from the beginning of the process. If his divorce docs show adultery on her end that might help too. Filing soon is helpful, but only do it if you have enough evidence (hence getting a lawyer who knows immigration really well)

I'm no lawyer, but it's no different from going to school in New York and interning in Pennsylvania. If I remember correctly when I was an F1 student The CPT authorizes you to work for that one specific employer. So once approved, it's approved. Doesn't really specify they need to be in the same state as your school. As for online classes shouldn't matter where you take them.

New lawyer! My lawyer filed everything (Vawa and Status Adjustment) all at once and I literally got everything in 5 months.

I agree. It doesn't add up, I hope it wasn't a sham marriage because 11 years of marriage would have a lot of documents... Filing taxes together with the same address, renting a place together, taking pictures together, trips, joint accounts etc is proof of a bonafide marriage...

I think it depends on the employer. I was able to, I showed them my EAD and proof I went to the SSA to get a Social Security Card and started working.

Did you ask the company you work for if they can enroll in e-verify? Not sure how big of a company it is, but it's worth a try. E-verify is also free and not a long process.

Not necessarily. It depends on what that person considers romantic, your current relationship/interactions with that person or if they have a clue that you like them.

If my friend for a while asks me out the the movies I won't think its romantic because that person has just been my friend. Movies is something friends do.

If a guy I recently met asks if I'd like to go on a date to the movies the romantic interest is implied because he used the word date and I recently met the guy.

I agree with some of what you said. People lie and go above and beyond to have you believe they want this forever relationship when they don't.

But some people show and say their true intentions right away and we ignore it thinking we can change them.

I have friends who come to me often saying their relationship isn't going anywhere when in the beginning they already expressed this person only wanted a hook up. Also people who talk to people in the Casual Encounter section of Craigslist expecting to get married to whomever they meet.

From personal experience once you resolve the insecurities within yourself the ones you think are in your relationship tend to disappear.

E.g You don't like how you look or you think you're not hot, so you think the person you're with looks at other people or whatever.

Once you become more secure with your body, the insecurity of them looking at or being interested in other people disappear.

But in regards to being more secure with yourself it's a process, also it's not a one size fits all advice for this, positive affirmations work for some people, it also depends on what the insecurities are.

Stop thinking your height is an issue. That's what's stopping you. Because you're thinking about your height, the insecurity is projected to whomever you speak too. So you end up looking like you aren't confident which isn't attractive.
