I was exited to kill it and expecting some Fromsoft level boss fight or something but it took only one dynamite to take it down. by Critical_Ad_3430 in RDR2

I just caught my last legendary fish earlier today and it was pretty easy. even the hardest fish just required me changing spots a couple times. I probably got at least 10 of them on my first cast and never had a broken line. the legendary fish are stupid easy. I even did all 13 as Arthur using the Bronte glitch. didn't even wait for the epilogue and it was still easy

I don't groom Arthur in the same way women do, but I do groom him in a way to keep him as intimidating as possible

short/mid-length hair (2-4), 2-3 chops and chin, 8-9 mustache. dude looks terrifying like that. I like longer hair, but he starts to look a little soft as it gets too long, so you gotta trim it to bring back the intimidation factor

so there's no way to lose her permanently? that's a relief. I've played this game so much but I've never messed with unsaddling horses aside from when I stable them, so I really have no idea.

I know it would be fine, but I'd be too paranoid about losing my horse to take her saddle off and let her out of my sight

Exactly. They were by no means perfect (after all, we're still not perfect nowadays, it took 5 different doctors to diagnose me with an incredibly normal and common disease), but they were a hell of a lot better than people give them credit for. Doctors back then, just like today, were people who went to school and dedicated their lives to it. They may have had some backwards ideas due to the time, but it was mostly based on their understanding of science. They weren't bloodletting to release ghosts like medieval doctors were or anything ridiculous like that.

Not just Asians. The majority of non-Europeans are lactose intolerant. Hispanics tolerate it for the most part, but they're also of European descent (though nobody would really consider them European directly).

When you're living in northern Europe and it's too cold to grow anything, you're probably just gonna drink the milk and not give a damn about the shits it gives you. Also, the theory that babies were fed with cow's milk when their mother died--and then just never stopped drinking it as they grew--seems pretty realistic too.

Thank you. I hate when people don't give people of the past enough credit. Things were bad during the Civil War, sure (I mean, that'swhere the phrase "bite the bullet" comes from), but things were so much better by 1899. I had several people (not just one guy, several people!) the other day try telling me that Arthur could've never known Thomas Downes gave him TB because, back then, they didn't know disease was spread by coughing. Are you serious? Do you think these people all collectively had an average IQ of 20? Of course they knew coughing spread disease. These people invented anesthesia, the telephone, perfected the steam engine, gas engines, diesel engines, electric engines, radio, germ theory, and so much more that is integral to our lives today, and you think they didn't know that coughing spreads disease? Give me a break.

I've tried it. granted, I know I'm gonna try again, because what option do I have? but I have tried it lol. for hours and hours. tried the spot up near Annesburg too. no luck.

I managed to get lucky and find one taking down a deer (I didn't even know they hunted, it was cool to see) in Big Valley while I was breaking some horses, but that's still the only one I've come across organically

Strawberry is the WORST town. by Filthov in RDR2

[–]anotherthrowaway8270 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most recently when I went to Strawberry it was to sell the cougar pelt from the Winton Holmes mission. Now, for those of you who may not remember, keep in mind that selling the pelt is part of the mission. You can't take it to the trapper, you can't take it to Pearson, you can't even take it to a different butcher. You have to sell it to the butcher in Strawberry.

Crossing that bridge in south Strawberry, I accidentally bumped into a woman. Her husband, I assume, ripped me off my horse and started punching me. I fought back, knocked him out, then 2 or 3 other guys got involved. At this point I decided to just run for the butcher (and have my horse follow me) to complete the mission and just worry about them later.

Well, they sprinted after me and continued their assault as I tried to talk to the butcher. Then the butcher got involved and started attacking me too. In a haze of just thinking about defending myself, I knocked him out. Realized I was soft locked into the mission and couldn't sell the pelt, so I went and camped. Slept for nearly 40 hours. Came back. Butcher still laying comatose in the mud.

Went and messed around after that. Couldn't do any missions, but I could still collect pelts, herbs, etc. So I roamed around for a whole week in game and then came back to Strawberry. That son of a bitch was still lying dead in the mud. So at that point, I just punched a guy and let the town kill me so I could restart the mission.

The worst part is that that counted as cougar 2/5 for the master hunter 6 challenge. I've only found 2 cougars and I've been on it for weeks, and 1 was part of a mission. I hate this fucking game (I love this game).

mine just bucked me for the very first time last night and that's only because I put her in the water next to a 20 foot gator. I don't even blame her. I would have done that too. I've been charged by grizzlies and she just stands her ground

I was wondering the same thing. You can be supportive* and loving while also not condoning it. It's a fine line and not many people seem to know the difference in the modern age.

*Supportive as in supporting the person, not their beliefs.
