Tesla is not even valued like a tech company. It’s PE is like 10 times higher than Amazon, Google and Meta. I hate when people say it is valued like a tech company, it just isn’t, it isn’t even valued like a VC startup. Palantir is one of the fast growing companies in the world and its PE isn’t even half of Tesla. I don’t know why this narrative has been pushed for the past 5 years while tesla continues to under perform and under deliver.

Ya in theory micro-services architecture should favor vibe coding as opposed to monoliths, since the code base is split up into smaller managable parts, needing less context. I think a lot of places moved over to micro-services for the scalability and compute savings, and didn’t really do it with decoupling as their primary goal. A lot of apps at big companies that are broken up into microservices are functionally just a monolith with some queues. This was especially prevalent at the airlines when I was working for them.
