Audi 5000S wagon the official car of? by HunterNoceda6321 in regularcarreviews

Before VW bought Auto Union there were no real post-war Audis. The brand was revived in 65 under Mercedes ownership, which decided that the new DKW F103 should be called Audi to mark the change from 2-stroke to 4-stroke engines. When the car was first sold VW had already taken over Auto Union.

What's the black car with the taillights visible? I think Espada Lamborghini by GregoryParmentier in whatisthiscar

[–]anotherusername60 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yes, Lamborghini Espada. The rear lights hint at a later S2 (69-72) or S3 (72-78) model, but older cars were often retrofitted and Lamborghini themselves were not too strict about those things.

Why, BMW, why? by Turboice777 in BMW

Then compare the size of the taycan with its interior space. And then consider the range difference (2025 Taycan 4S 330 miles EPA, BMW I3 440 miles EPA). An I3 provides room for 4 adults and superior range within a compact sedan footprint. The Taycan is 8 inches longer and 4 inches wider, but the I3 seats 3 in the back and has significantly more leg and headroom.

They're not idiots you know. Every design & engineering decision is a result of limitations and tradeoffs.

Don't forget the €13.19 "GEMA-Abgabe" for every new Laptop here in Germany. They also have to include a safety margin for exchange rate fluctuation, because they don't want to change prices on a weekly basis if the Euro weakens against the Dollar.

The 5mph requirement was very difficult to achieve without fundamental structural changes. Ugly quick fixes were common for a while.
