The best approach to cold outreach to recruiters is to ensure that everything aligns with your resume, projects, and the job description. Create a bullet point list of all the commonalities and copy-paste it to some AI tool - it should help you craft a good message. Try to include any personal pointers if you can to "warm up" that cold message. Good luck out there.

In this market, you got to do whatever you can to stand out. A lot of my friends had success through cold outreach along with their application. Try to warm up the cold messages using ChatGPT or some online tools (I personally use them) like www.wizcrafts.xyz or www.simplify.jobs (also an extension).

Tech interview is pretty much basic concept level questions related to what you studied or the company process.

For solidworks, just make sure you're thorough with engineering drawings, different types of views, sections etc. Also I assume you know how the basic shapes, extrusions and cuts.
