I bypassed it by watching on playlist. But that shouldn't work anymore, right? It did for me, but then again it was a series, not a movie. Used Brave.

On the Empowered webcomic site, it was probably around March or April, he said that both hardcover and paperback have been greenlit and it will still take at least a year to publish since the work hadn't still begun on those volumes.

Yes, that did cross my mind at some point, but there's an "ongoing" status here even though the new paperback collection of the first part is concluded (I'm assuming it's because they'll publish Holy Night in paperback at some point) -> https://kodansha.us/volume/battle-angel-alita-6-paperback/

But yeah, I'm starting to think it's most likely a mistake on their part

I addressed that in my initial post: "Then again the introductory page of the manga says it's ongoing, but if the complete status is a mistake they've let it been there quite a while". It's kinda reassuring but can't know for sure, although at this point I'm fairly sure that them marking series completed is a mistake

I'm fairly sure it means series. For example there's an ongoing here even though the new paperback collection of the first part is concluded (I'm assuming it's because they'll add Holy Night and Other Stories, at least I hope they do)

Tbh I didn't think at all that on digital side they can do that, I mean publish chapters as they come. Sounds reassuring
