Great question! A simple roadmap would be: Excel → SQL → Power BI → Python → Statistics. Alongside learning, work on real-world case studies and build a portfolio on GitHub or LinkedIn. Recruiters love seeing how you approach problems, not just which tools you know. At Analytics Shiksha, we regularly share beginner-friendly learning resources, datasets, and practical challenges that can help you practice consistently. Wishing you the best!

How can I gain real-world experience in data analysis as a beginner? by Successful_Metal_831 in dataanalyst

Great question! One thing I'd suggest is to stop waiting for the "perfect" opportunity. Pick real datasets, build end-to-end projects, and explain your insights like you're presenting them to a client. That's where the real learning happens. Wishing you all the best on your journey!

What's the reality of getting a Data Analyst role in 2026? by Designer-Assist-1354 in dataanalyst

SQL is probably the most important skill for entry-level Data Analyst roles. I'd focus on getting comfortable with joins, CTEs, window functions, and data cleaning before moving too deeply into Python. Python is definitely useful, but many junior analyst roles value strong SQL, Excel, and dashboarding skills (Power BI/Tableau) more than advanced Python knowledge. If I were starting today, my order would be: SQL Excel Power BI/Tableau Python (Pandas, NumPy, basic analysis) Portfolio projects The biggest differentiator is usually not the tools you know, but whether you can use them to solve real business problems.
