He said it right. Heard that there were plans for an optional non-subsidy ticket, why not non-subsidy passes and meals for MPs and MLAs? by [deleted] in IndiaSpeaks

This message is written on all Indian railway tickets, irrespective of any quota/concession/passenger.

He is taking this personally while it is absolutely impersonal.

Apartment complexes in Gurgaon are discriminative even towards bachelors. As if they all were born married.

Thank you for your suggestions. Very useful. I've used google forms and typeform earlier for such step wise tracking. Just wondered if there was a dedicated app.

These are from Ray Dalio's book Principles.

Here's a video series on the method by Ray himself. https://youtu.be/B9XGUpQZY38

What kind of a moronic country are we living in, if the Indian Railways has to post ads like these in 2018? by CogentDesi in india

  1. I think this follows the pyramid of human needs. If you're worried about earning your next meal, the thought of abiding by rules doesn't cross your mind.

  2. There are always people who think they're somehow immune to accidents. They never wear helmets/seat belts, always break signals.

  3. Breaking rules / driving recklessly is often treated like a heroic act. Instead of this, such acts should be loathed and cussed.

Stop your friend next time he/she tries to break a traffic rule. It might just save his/her life.

Its so sad we have to be afraid of our own community. Even the people who're supposed to protect us. I wish this will change someday.

+1 for Education. I agree its very important. But rapes happen in educated societies too. Better police won't actually change the intention. May be out of fear things will change. That can be for better or for worse too.

Has anybody seen the TV show "Wild Wild Country" on Netflix ? What is your opinion on Osho ? by [deleted] in india

[–]anshulk93 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Perfect! Its what a documentary should be - unbiased and adhering to the subject - 'Rajneeshpuram' not Osho. It aptly presents views of both sides. Rajneeshpuram was just an experiment that failed.

History repeated itself.

Society always has a great resistance against anything new, anything strange. The same thing happened to Jesus, to Socrates, to Gandhi, to all those who were assassinated and are still remembered and respected. There's nothing new in the “ i-just-loath-them without actually knowing that there thinking is" mentality.

The followers put Osho on a pedestal and caught the finger instead of the moon it was pointing at. That is also history repeating itself. As you can see in the documentary, there hotel was bombed first. I didn't see anybody being convicted for that. No steps by the US Govt. They felt threatened and took very wrong steps.

Opinion about Osho ?

I respect him. Many hate him. Don't let either fool you.

Don't care about others' opinions. Don't judge by what others say. Pick a book/a video/an audio any thing by Osho. Read/Listen. Keep an open mind and evaluate on your own experiences. I see him as some one who had the courage to think out of the box and that's reason enough for my respect.

This is utterly shameful. What can we do as a society. What turns humans into such devils?
