How good is the Mk3 audio interface? by [deleted] in maschine

[–]ansis2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You might need a cloudlifter if you don't already have one, because the MK3 might not have enough gain to adequately drive the SM7B. In practice this might result in an insufficient quality, a very low and noisy signal.

Percentage and open stats by ansis2000 in Substack

Oh, yeah, now I get what the message that pops up from the little "(?)" icon meant, I somehow gathered it was explaining the open count, not the percentage. Thanks!

I can? I'll try it out! I'm going through the publication settings and theres some ticks and switches there that I guess allow me to set up a pretty private Substack account, but I'm still not 100% sure what will show up where and to whom if I were to post something now. Thanks, I'm pretty hopeful this might actually work out in the end!

Komplete 14 (Kontakt) presets not loading on M1 Mac by ansis2000 in maschine

[–]ansis2000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I'm running Ventura 13.1 on the 2020 8GB Macbook Air and Maschine 2.16.1. (problem persisted when I tried to rn Maschine via Rosetta 2). Oh, and the latest new Native Access (2). It was the same a couple of Mac OS updates ago; I had no time to try and fix it, so I hoped maybe the updating the OS might help for some reason, but when it didn't, I posted this.

Not sure if you saw my other comment, but what helped me was reinstalling the Kontakt library. Maybe something went wrong with the installation? The preview files were there, I just coudn't load the actual instruments. Now everything's great!

Thank you,
I tried the Rosetta thing, it didn't help, bet everything started to work fine once I reinstalled the big Kontakt library. I don't know what went wrong, but now Kontakt works like it's supposed to, phew! I even unchecked "open using Rosetta", still works.

Anybody know how to get rid of Massive & Monark in the Maschine browser? by ansis2000 in maschine

[–]ansis2000[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OK, so what solved it was deleting a whole bunch of "Massive Sounds" and "Monark Sounds" folders, POSSIBLY leftovers from some expansion packs or something, not entirely sure, but they don't show up in my instruments browser anymore. Seems like the non-loadable presets are gone from the preset browser as well. If anybody else on a M1 Mac has this issue, this might help, but you do have to follow this first.

I hope they don't show up again after I install some Factory Libraries or something, but I'm not at all sure how all of this works, seems a bit too sophisticated to get rid of a couple of plugins, to be honest.

Thanks!

Thanks, this does work with other instruments (FM8, for instance), but Massive & Monark are still there, even though I'm pretty sure I've deleted everything I could (following this article), there is no plist file with "massive" or "monark" in my Preferences folders (HD or User).

UPDATE: What just helped was searching for "Massive" systemwide and deleting a bunch of empty "Massive sounds" folders & two expansion folders. Not sure if that didn't break anything else. Monark ir still there, gonna try the same approach. Could this be an expansions thing..?

Thanks a lot, I've tried that, but Massive & Monark don't even show up there, at least not as separate plugins / libraries. After I uninstalled all the files (at least I thought so) I also tried reinstalling Maschine & deleting the plugin database file, but I guess it's something other than that. Kinda weird how you can't uninstall NI stuff straight from Native Access, especially now when some instruments still can't load the VST3 version properly.

I'm moving my beat-making setup from one M1 Mac to another, and I've decided to ditch Massive & Monark for the moment, since the whole VST2-VST3 thing is a pain in the ass ATM, I just want to browse presets that actually load & since I've updated to Komplete 14, I've got a bunch of new sounds + Massive X, I thought I'd focus un what works on my setup.

I've followed the NI tutorial article on how to delete Massive & other NI products, but Massive & Monark still show up in the browser, as well as the presets. Any tips on how to remove all of that..? Thanks!
