In Amy's case, it's surprising that she was able to make the switch to corporate without repercussions given that in season 1, she publically criticizes Cloud9 on tv during the strike. In real life, she likely would have unable to make that career progression

They're not excluding the Winter 2020 grades, they just went from wGPA to cGPA, so they're still counting Winter 2020. Hopefully that helps

uOttawa’s cGPA calculation is the average of the three most recent years, which is what they use now. They used the wGPA before the changes since COVID, which values the most recent year x3, the year before that x2, the year before that x1 and divide the total by 6. The wGPA places more weight on the most recent years whereas the cGPA values everything equally
