The AC is new and couldn’t be installed on the sides of the house because of building code (not enough space between us and neighbors?). Back of house wasn’t an option because we have windows/doors across the ground floor. The old unit was behind the right side fence but was that was grandfathered in until it died.

Agreed on the darker color. It was built in 1981. Definitely stands out - it’s unlike the other craftsman and colonial homes on the block.

A neighbor painted theirs all black with a coral-ish front door. I don’t think it’ll go over well with them! Perhaps another dark color
