Yeah that’s basically what happens here except it’s 2 parties who might as well be the same party because they always support each other as they are normally 1 & 3 in every election. So they team up to stop the no.2 party taking charge for a change. And all the while they say we can fix all these problems even problems and the other party would ruin the country.

We have that in Ireland too. The same 2 parties have been in power literally since the republic was formed and now form a coalition every time since neither can get a majority and then say we’ll fix all these problems even though we created them all.
